All’interno della Divisione Spazio , stiamo ricercando un/a AIT Engineer per il sito di Pomezia (RM). La persona si occuperà di Integrazione, allineamento e test di sottoassiemi opto-meccanici ed elementi attivi (cavità laser, camere di amplificazione a stato solido, cristalli non lineari) all’interno di sistemi Laser e Lidar per lo Spazio, e relativi test di qualifica dell’apparato integrato. Il lavoro principalmente si svolgerà all’interno di camere pulite con controllo e monitoraggio di temperatura, umidità e contaminazione (classe ISO-6 e ISO-5). Principali attività: Stesura di documentazione fasi di integrazione e test (procedure, report, as-built) Ideazione e Utilizzo di setup di misura e collaudo (GSE) di natura elettrica, termica, ottica e meccanica Attività di allineamento di elementi laser attivi all’interno di banchi ottici di un payload spaziale Attività di misurazione e caratterizzazione completa di fasci laser (profilo spaziale, caratteristiche temporali, spettrali e di stabilità nel tempo e in condizioni di qualifica ambientale). Esperienza nell’ambito delle facility per la qualifica di apparati spaziali: camere TV, Shaker, apparati di condizionamento termico, Unità di terra per comando controllo elettrico) Supporto a ispezioni della qualità interna e dei Clienti Supporto per le attività di qualifica di processi speciali Esecuzione di collaudi tramite CMM, teodoliti, microscopi, interferometri, Faro Arm) Obiettivi: Diventare autonomi nell’integrazione, test e qualifica dei nostri apparati laser spaziali Saper allineare cavità laser, sezioni di amplificazione e di conversione armonica, valutando le performance intermedie e finali di ogni elemento attivo e sezione del sistema laser. Concurrent engineering durante le fasi di progettazione per evitare possibili rischi durante la futura integrazione di prodotti Titolo di studio: Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Elettronica e/o Fisica Nice to Have: aver sostenuto esami di ottica e/o ottica quantistica, fotonica, opto-elettronica, fisica dello stato solido e/o aver svolto tesi sperimentale con banchi di misura ottica/laser. Livello di esperienza richiesto: Junior: 1-3 y di esperienza nel ruolo Expert: 3-5 y di esperienza nel ruolo Competenze e conoscenze tecniche: Confidenza con strumenti per integrazione meccanica e ispezione ottiche. Metodicità, capacità di eseguire procedure di test, attitudine alla tracciabilità delle attività svolte. Confidenza nell’utilizzo di strumentazione E/O e per misure Laser (radiometri, profilometri, oscilloscopi, fotodiodi, spettroscopi, etc..). Utilizzo di teodolite, autocollimatore, interferometro, laser di riferimento Capacità di raccolta ed elaborazione avanzata dei dati raccolti (correlazioni, statistiche, trasformazioni di dominio, etc.). Capacità di definire ed elaborare documentazione di test e reportistica tecnica. Esperienze nell’ambiente di sviluppo LABVIEW costituirà titolo preferenziale. Esperienza pregressa di lavoro in Camere Pulite di classe ISO 5 (vecchia Classe 100) rappresenta titolo preferenziale. Your impact We have an opportunity for a skilled Lead Electronics Engineer to join the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) team to be based in our Edinburgh. You will have responsibility for the electronics development of a key array subsystem within the Team Tempest demonstrator Multi-Function Antenna. This UK-only project is a key part of the overall GCAP programme and will be part of the flight trials programme on Leonardo's 757 trials aircraft, Excalibur. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to play a fundamental role in a defence programme of critical national importance, and to shape the future of Combat Air capability in the UK. The role is varied but focusses on the design, integration and test of the radar array subsystem and a number of inter-connected multi-layer printed circuit board assemblies. As a Lead Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for creating high quality and robust electronics designs; for fully documenting and recording your work products; ensuring all certification processes are adhered to and documented; keeping the design under configuration management and providing plans and reports on progress. The role is broad in scope and covering a wide variety of activities, from design through test and integration to certification. With a diverse mix of skills already in the team, this role can be tailored to suit the right applicant. This will be a very ‘hands-on’ role with focus on hardware prototyping, lab measurement, debugging, integration, testing and validation of the full array sub-system. As a result, this will be a hybrid working role, with approximately 60% of your working hours working in the Edinburgh office. What you’ll bring With this role, your key areas of responsibility will be: Hardware requirements management. Functional design, verification and validation of the array subsystem. Technical leadership of design engineers through the lifecycle. Ownership of the electronics work package activities within the array subsystem. In this role, you will work on automation, new product/package introduction, test flow optimization, yield and SFV improvement, and customer incident resolution. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, R&D, quality, and data science teams to ensure robust, efficient, and high-quality production. Duties & Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Developing automation workflows and test programs to streamline lot processing and reduce manual intervention. * Supporting new package and new product introductions through test program optimization and yield improvement activities. * Optimizing test flows by refining the sequence of testing steps to reduce total cycle time while maintaining test accuracy and product quality. * Implementing smart burn-in sampling by optimizing the test flow to segregate units by ULT category, allowing some units to skip burn-in based on data science–driven information. * Introducing capacitive testing to complement existing test methodologies and enhance the detection of wire proximity conditions. * Evaluating yield metrics and defining improvement plans to enhance production efficiency and robustness. * Providing timely support for customer incidents, ensuring prompt analysis, resolution, and follow-up. * Analyzing data from hold lots to identify patterns or anomalies causing delays and performance issues. * Performing root cause analysis on hold lots to identify underlying issues and implementing actions to prevent recurrence. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate shall: * Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. * Experience in test engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or automation is an advantage. * Knowledge of test program development and test methodologies (e.g., functional, parametric, capacitive testing). * Proficiency in the C programming language is considered an asset. * Be ready to learn and progress on the technical skills in relation to new equipment. * Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross functional teams.
