Job Description Senior digital design engineers contribute to a dynamic organization responsible for developing optimized designs for wireless communication modems and signal processing IPs. Key responsibilities: * Understand system-level requirements and derive low-power hardware architectures for wireless communication modems and signal processing algorithms. * Develop efficient hardware implementations for wireless communication modems, including but not limited to RTL implementation of DSP blocks, microcontroller interfaces, memory interfaces, and serial/parallel interfaces. * Develop and execute hardware verification plans, including but not limited to test definition, testbench design, design verification, silicon validation, and coverage analysis. * Design integration of single and multi-core systems. * Perform design synthesis, linting, static/dynamic power analysis, and post-layout simulations. * Support system verification, in-lab conformance testing, and design certification. * Collaborate on new features, simulations, and improvements with multi-functional development teams located in Cairo, Egypt, as well as other teams worldwide. The role encompasses architecture definition, HW implementation, design verification, in lab testing, and design validation. Desired Competencies: * Adaptability, flexibility, creativity, and innovation, with a strong focus on networking and teamwork. * Experience in hardware implementation and verification of digital signal processing (DSP) and wireless communication algorithms. * Proven ability to translate complex system-level algorithm requirements into optimized hardware implementations. * Experience with floating- and fixed-point design * Knowledge of common peripheral interfaces, on-chip interconnects, and embedded microcontrollers. * Experience in HW system integration. * Understanding of wireless communication technologies and test equipment. * Knowledge of Matlab design language * Proven knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic design automation (EDA) tools and workflows for digital design, including: * Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, C, Perl, and Python scripting skills. * Register-transfer level (RTL) and gate-level simulations. * Timing analysis, power analysis, coverage analysis, and formal equivalence checks. * Excellent English skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective communication and fostering positive relationships internally and externally. * Highly motivated, self-starting, and a collaborative team player.
