Required Qualifications * MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field. * 2+ years of experience in MEMS design, mechanical design, or device development, ideally in an industrial environment. * Strong foundation in mechanics, structural dynamics, materials behavior, and physical modeling. * Experience with MEMS device design and simulation, including multi-physics analysis and interpretation of test data. * Experience working across design–process interfaces and manufacturability optimization. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in cross-disciplinary teams. As a senior member of the MEMS design team, the MEMS design expert leads and contributes to all phases of product development for innovative 3-axis accelerometers and 3-axis gyroscopes. Main activities of the MEMS design expert include: •Lead feasibility studies and select sensor architectures to meet specifications. •Design sensor layouts and conduct simulations to predict sensor performance across manufacturing variability and real-world application scenarios. •Develop novel simulation models to describe sensor behavior in new environmental conditions. •Plan and perform sensor validation and characterization. •Contribute to new sensor research and development in collaboration with design centers and universities. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience as an inertial MEMS designer and holds a PhD in MEMS design or manufacturing, or at least seven years of experience as an inertial MEMS designer and holds a degree in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or electronic engineering.
