This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of European Earth observation, with direct impact on the quality and continuity of meteorological data services that support weather forecasting and climate monitoring across Europe and beyond. Key Responsibilities Routine Mission Operations You will be an active member of the spacecraft operations team, taking hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day care of Meteosat satellites in orbit. This means much more than routine monitoring; you will be involved in the full operational lifecycle of the spacecraft, from keeping the mission running smoothly today to helping shape how it runs tomorrow. On a day-to-day basis, your routine tasks would be to: Ensure the safe and continuous in-orbit operation of Meteosat spacecraft, using operational analysis tools to track spacecraft health and mission performance Take part in standby and on-call duties as part of a collaborative operations team, contributing to mission planning checks and shift-based activities Investigate spacecraft anomalies from initial identification through to resolution, working closely with engineering, ground segment, and industry counterparts Carry out operational tasks across a wide range of spacecraft subsystems, always with an eye on mission safety and performance Support the development and upkeep of spacecraft simulators and operational tools, ensuring they remain fit for purpose as missions evolve Prepare, review, and maintain the operational procedures, guides, and technical documentation that the team depends on Contribute to end-of-life activities, including spacecraft re-orbiting, decommissioning, and in-orbit technology testing Operations Preparation Alongside day-to-day mission support, you will play an active role in preparing the team and the mission for what comes next. Process / Equipment Interaction * Work closely with process engineering to ensure equipment performance supports CD, profile, uniformity, selectivity, and defectivity requirements. * Analyze tool logs, SPC charts, metrology data, and wafer maps to correlate equipment conditions with yield and parametric performance. * Support process qualifications, chamber swaps, hardware changes, and recipe releases. * Ensure correct implementation and maintenance of chamber matching between AMAT and TEL tools. 4\. Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction * Identify and implement improvement projects to increase uptime, extend parts lifetime, and reduce operating cost. * Optimize consumables usage and spare parts strategy (buffer stock, repair vs. replace, refurbishment plans). * Participate in or lead CIP / Lean / Six Sigma projects for productivity and quality enhancement. * Support capacity upgrades (chamber additions, throughput improvement, software enhancements). 5\. Documentation, Procedure & Training * Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for AMAT SuperE, AMAT DPS. * Document all events, alarms, interventions, and changes in the equipment history system (EHS/CMMS). * Provide technical training and coaching to equipment technicians, junior engineers, and shift personnel. * Ensure compliance with change management process for hardware, software, and recipe modifications. 6\. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage a cost-effective manufacturing process procedure in wafer fabrication, through the provision of engineering support to the production line, so as to achieve organization's targeted manufacturing index. 2. Take full ownership on all engineering issues of assigned process. 3. Maintain and support day to day manufacturing activities through real-time problem analysis and real-time solution implementation. 4. Ensure smooth process flow with high quality, high yield, low cost by working with the Maintenance Specialists, Production Supervisors and Shift Engineers to achieve overall committed targets. 5. Maintain, manage & improve department quality key performance index (wafer scrap, defectivity, SPC, FDC, non-conformance lot, excursion etc.) 6. Establish robust process control system for Si & SiC to maintain the lowest Wafer At Risk (WAR) level, highest signal to noise ratio on SPC & FDC, and minimize human dependency. 7. Implement Best Known Method (BKM) for overall quality control system through benchmarking. 8. Participate with the local team in selected projects or activities such as cost reduction, process robustness, quality improvement, cycle time improvement. YOUR ROLE You will take on the role of Equipment owner and implement equipment improvement projects to achieve the best possible maintenance cost per wafer, equipment reliability, wafer fab yield and throughput parameters. YOUR ROLE Process Set-up & Optimizations a) Lead Engineers to set-up metrology recipe of newly introduced processes or new metrology/ process equipment or tools. Evaluate the new measurement processes and make a series of measurement characterization. b) Conduct appropriate equipment, tools and measurement qualification. c) Study the measurement recipe robustness window vs the existing process and introduce the best fact-based measurement methodology. Equipment Management a) Manage equipment failure through Statistical Process Control (SPC). Provide analysis to identify specific equipment failure mode for the maintenance team to work. b) Perform appropriate equipment qualification after every maintenance intervention. c) Perform FMEA on all critical process &/or machine whenever it is required. d) Work closely with the maintenance management to ensure maximum possible up-time. e) Setup/ Improve predictive maintenance system when it is required Manufacturing Line Support a) To lead & motivate a team of Engineers to provide day to day support in the manufacturing of the products. b) Analyze production problems and determine solutions through liaising with all parties involved, and through studying past cases. c) Define more user-friendly tools, process specifications, clear procedures & TPM. Support the OJT activities by providing proper and updated process specifications. d) Provide technical training to both process and EES team. e) Ensures the problem solving for complex (line stop or high risk of return lost) or unknown problems and ensure communication. f) Identifies and evaluates crisis situations, ensures the relevant reporting and takes containment actions. Automation, Robustness & Continuous Improvement Work with DTIT and drive for automation solutions for robust manufacturing operation mandatory WSO controlled qualification procedures, e-Star alarm monitoring and interlock, while quality and speed are not compromised. Documentation & Procedures a) Ensure all processes are documented with properly written and clearly defined procedures in an electronic media. b) Update and maintain all line specifications electronically to align with the existing working process.
