Our technology starts with you. _____________________________________________ YOUR ROLE * Process Scope: Die Attach Process Glue/ Soft Solder/ Solder Paste * Responsible for providing technical support and guidance on process implementation and analysis to ensure conformance of the manufacturing process to set specifications. * Support in development of new products and ensure proper implementation of established manufacturing processes. Perform new material and machine qualification and improvement. * Identify, modify, and upgrade processes and controls to meet set quality standards, yield and meet the target milestone at optimum cost. * Supports manufacturing and Quality Programs * To lead Technical Team or group for improvements and Projects * Ensure that EHSE aspect will be considered during new product/new process introduction and Ensure New process or product conformity vs EHSE requirements YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Engineer / Master diploma * Technical Background: Strong technical knowledge of assembly processes, strategic thinking, leadership, and analytical problem solving. * The Central Process Engineer is responsible in over-all result of new product/process. (Definition, Design, detailed preparation, validation and qualification, release, industrialization). Handling multiple jobs and responsibilities, projects at the same time. * Deep fundamental knowhow on process field of competence, technical ability to perform optimization and analytical capability to perform research and problem solving (simple/complex) is vital to this job. * Degree of autonomy: High level of autonomy in the technical decision-making process is needed. Position Overview STMicroelectronics is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Member of Technical Staff (MTS) – Implant Equipment to join our advanced manufacturing team in Singapore. This role is responsible for sustaining, improving, and optimizing ion implantation equipment and related processes to ensure stable tool performance, robust process control, high product quality, and manufacturing excellence in a high-volume semiconductor environment. The successful candidate will be a key technical contributor, partnering closely with Process Integration, Equipment, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technology Development teams to drive tool qualification, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. This position requires deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver practical, sustainable solutions that support fab readiness and operational performance. Key Responsibilities * Own implant equipment performance, process stability, and manufacturability in a high-volume production environment. * Lead technical troubleshooting for process excursions, equipment drift, dose/energy issues, beam instability, contamination, and yield detractors. * Support process tuning, recipe optimization and equipment qualification for ion implantation processes. * Drive root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions to improve tool availability, process capability, product quality, and yield. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful technology transfer, tool readiness, and process ramp-up. * Monitor and improve key equipment and process metrics using SPC, DOE, FMEA, FDC (Fault Detection Control) and statistical data analysis. * Work with equipment and maintenance teams to strengthen preventive maintenance, calibration, and tool performance standards. * Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, BKMs, qualification reports, and process guidelines. * Mentor junior engineers and technicians and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the organization. * Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in ion implantation and semiconductor equipment. Technical Qualifications * Strong expertise in ion implantation tools and processes for semiconductor manufacturing. * Expert-level experience with Axcelis implant tools, including: * tool setup and operation * process tuning * beam and implant parameter optimization * machine matching & qualification * troubleshooting and process correction * Demonstrated expertise in equipment troubleshooting, process stabilization, and defect reduction. * Solid understanding of process integration, yield improvement, and defect analysis in semiconductor manufacturing. * Familiarity with metrology and analytical tools and methods relevant to implant processes, such as: * sheet resistance measurement * SIMS * four-point probe * ellipsometry or thickness monitoring where applicable * particle monitoring and contamination control * Strong capability in DOE, SPC, FMEA, FDC (Fault Detection Control), data analysis, and root cause investigation. * Experience supporting technology transfer from development to manufacturing. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly to diverse stakeholders. * Familiarity with fab safety, quality systems, documentation standards, and compliance requirements. Preferred Experience * Experience in a semiconductor high-volume manufacturing or technology transfer environment. * Strong background in implant equipment ownership and process support. * Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to cross-functional problem-solving teams. * Proven track record of improving uptime, match, repeatability, contamination control, and process capability. * Experience in driving technical contributions through innovation, patents and impactful fab improvements. * Exposure to ISO systems, operational excellence frameworks, and equipment maintenance practices. Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electronic & Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a closely related discipline. * Typically, 10 to 15 years of experience in implant process or equipment development, preferably within semiconductor manufacturing. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional fab environment. * Strong record of technical ownership, collaboration, and execution excellence. * AMAT Implant tools experience will be an added advantage. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage a cost-effective manufacturing process procedure in wafer fabrication, through the provision of engineering support to the production line, so as to achieve organization's targeted manufacturing index. 2. Take full ownership on all engineering issues of assigned process. 3. Maintain and support day to day manufacturing activities through real-time problem analysis and real-time solution implementation. 4. Ensure smooth process flow with high quality, high yield, low cost by working with the Maintenance Specialists, Production Supervisors and Shift Engineers to achieve overall committed targets. 5. Maintain, manage & improve department quality key performance index (wafer scrap, defectivity, SPC, FDC, non-conformance lot, excursion etc.) 6. Establish robust process control system for Si & SiC to maintain the lowest Wafer At Risk (WAR) level, highest signal to noise ratio on SPC & FDC, and minimize human dependency. 7. Implement Best Known Method (BKM) for overall quality control system through benchmarking. 8. Participate with the local team in selected projects or activities such as cost reduction, process robustness, quality improvement, cycle time improvement. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering. * Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply * Good problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations related to dose concentration, angle, and air pressure. * Self-initiated, proactive, and able to communicate clearly. * Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
