La persona si occuperà delle seguenti attività: Progettare, implementare e gestire soluzioni di pubblicazione sicura di Web Application, API, portali internet/intranet e servizi esposti verso terze parti tramite soluzioni WAF enterprise in ambienti on-prem, IaaS e Cloud; Configurare e amministrare piattaforme Web Application Firewall (WAF), Reverse Proxy, ADC / Load Balancer, Secure Gateway; Eseguire tuning avanzato di regole, signature, custom rules, exception handling e policy dedicate per URL, host, API e applicazioni business critical; Attivare e governare le principali feature di sicurezza necessarie, incluse protezioni OWASP Top 10, bot mitigation, DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, API security, TLS/SSL hardening, geo/blocking, reputation controls e logging avanzato; Integrare le piattaforme WAF con SIEM e strumenti di monitoring; Collaborare con i team engineering, DevOps, network, cloud e application owner per introdurre controlli di sicurezza nel ciclo di delivery e nella pubblicazione dei servizi; Contribuire all’automazione tramite scripting e Infrastructure as Code per deployment standardizzati, ripetibili e scalabili; Supportare progetti di migrazione e integrazione in ambienti Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Kubernetes / Container; Definire standard, baseline, runbook e linee guida operative per la protezione di applicazioni esposte verso Internet. Titolo di studio: Laurea Magistrale in Informatica/Ingegneria Informatica/Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni o STEM (valutabili anche percorsi alternativi con esperienza comprovata). Your impact As Principal / Lead Networking Systems Engineer, your work at Leonardo UK will see you take the lead in meeting customer requirements in an agile, innovative and team-centric manner. The role will involve a mixture of working from home and on site to ensure close collaboration with the wider team. When on site, this is an office and integration laboratory based role using display screen equipment, network test equipment and mixed commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and military-off-the-shelf (MOTS) IP network and virtual environment technologies. The successful candidate would provide technical expertise within the Land and Naval domain of Leonardo with a focus on IP network and virtual environment technologies for predominantly naval platforms. Working within an Integrated Project Team and be responsible to the Project System Design Authority for the configuration, implementation, documentation and verification of Cisco based network and Windows server data architectures within some of the most demanding naval environments. As your responsibility develops, there will be an opportunity to work towards Design Authority status for IP network and virtual environments. What you'll do All assigned systems engineering aspects of new and existing networks and network applications embodied on naval platforms working at all phases of the development lifecycle. Support the development of current and future systems architectures/design and their implementation. Support to the capture of design artefacts as appropriate for all stages in the engineering lifecycle appropriate for managing existing systems and for taking concepts through to development. Test definition, test execution and fault finding across IP networks and hosted systems. Development of system installation and setting to work guidance. Working closely with customers through the verification and validation stages of projects to ensure systems meet their requirements and needs. Once deployed, the day-to-day support of the networks is generally performed by the customer, with Leonardo UK providing spare equipment and design authority support (such as obsolescence management and approval of configuration changes) What you’ll bring Solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols. Experience with configuring and supporting network devices in enterprise environments. Ability to work independently on defined work packages while collaborating effectively with wider teams. A proactive approach and willingness to learn new tools and technologies. Essential: Practical experience of network implementation, setting to work and verification; including fault finding, fault resolution, electrical safety and safe working practices. Experience of system/network design and architecture definition Experience of writing documentation in support of verification of a network and for user information. Hands on Experience in COTS IP network equipment; particularly Cisco. Hands on Experience in COTS virtual environment software. Hands on Experience in COTS server software, for example Windows server and Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. Demonstrable experience as a COTS IP networks practitioner; equivalent or higher than Cisco CCNA qualification. Broad experience of all engineering lifecycle phases. Broad knowledge of tools and processes used in the design, development and acceptance of products and systems. Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common networking protocols Understanding of network security concepts and secure configurations Desirable: Use of DOORs in requirements management. Experience in COTS virtual environment backup software. Experience with COTS network management and diagnostic software, e.g. SolarWinds and Wireshark. Experience with user Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) server software. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools, particularly Teamcenter Understanding of VPNs, VLANs, and routing protocols. Position:   We are looking for a Security Practice Lead to own and drive information security across our organization. You will shape our security strategy, protect our systems, data, and expanding AI infrastructure, and act as a key voice in company-wide decisions. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of engineering, AI development, compliance, and leadership. What you will do: Define and own the security strategy: Oversee comprehensive security across cloud, network, and application layers, partnering with engineering on vulnerability management. Secure AI & ML integrations: Establish and enforce security guardrails for AI pipelines and LLM deployments, protecting against AI-specific threats (e.g., prompt injection, data poisoning, supply chain) and ensuring model safety. Risk & Incident Management: Assess security risks, monitor processes continuously, and coordinate effective incident response and recovery efforts. Policy & Compliance: Develop and manage security policies, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, standard frameworks, and emerging AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act), aligning closely with DPO directives. Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to embed security (and AI security-by-design) into business decisions. Security Evangelism, Training & Vendor Management: Champion a security-first culture across the company. Design and deliver training programs, run awareness campaigns, and act as an internal advocate who makes security understandable and relevant for everyone, from engineers to non-technical teams. Manage risk assessments for external vendors and consultants to ensure third-party security standards are met. Requirements: Proven information security leadership experience with the ability to translate technical risks into business language Deep knowledge of standard security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and strong background in policy development Solid understanding of AI security: familiarity with AI-specific vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs) and experience securing data privacy within machine learning pipelines Hands-on experience with cloud, application, and device security (MDM), incident management, and post-incident recovery Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, AI/Data, legal, and executive teams Nice to have: Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CAISP (Certified AI Security Professional) Familiarity with AI risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF) Experience in the music, media, or entertainment tech industry Familiarity with DPO workflows, privacy-by-design principles, and working with regulatory bodies What we offer: Relocation to Bologna (Italy) or remote work.
