YOUR ROLE You will join the MEMS Characterization and Module Validation Teams; in this role you will be in charge of: * Characterization and debug of innovative MEMS sensors * Testing methodology and setup definition using laboratory instruments including specific MEMS equipment * Data analysis focusing on early detection of technical problems * Investigation and deep analysis in case of unexpected test result interacting with Design, Application, and Quality teams. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Master’s degree in electronic engineering recommended * LabVIEW programming tool knowledge * Experienced on measurement instruments and methodology for IC/MEMS, R&R and metrology knowledge * Statistical data analysis and reporting skills * Curiosity and attitude to treat unexpected test results, problem solving. The expected salary range for this position is € 38,000 – €45,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role. In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies. Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Design Authority (DA) for Test Solutions on a permanent basis at our modern and purpose-built Luton (Capability Green) site. A DA will need to be a talented and experienced Engineer, familiar with working on complex electronic (ideally Optical, RF, Digital and analogue based) Test Solutions. The DA will have had hands-on experience of designing complex Test Solutions over the full life cycle. What you’ll bring To be successful in this role we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate: Familiarisation with Defence related technological solutions Experience in EW techniques Requirements definition and management (DOORS experience would be beneficial) Experience in full life cycle management in test solutions Experience of chairing design reviews Hardware and Software Design and Implementation Experience in coding with LabView and TestStand Familiarisation with ATLAS and C would be desirable Requirement Verification and Compliance An awareness of legislation and Standards that apply within the Industrial workspace (e.g.: Electrical, Chemical, Electromagnetic Compatibility) Experience/knowledge of Cyber Security within the Test Solution realm Interfacing with Sub-Contractors Experience of export compliance This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
