YOUR ROLE ​As a Senior Wets Process Development Engineer, you will be the technical anchor for our end-to-end wet process portfolio. You will be responsible for the following: * ​Process Architecture: Lead the design and optimization of advanced plating processes (including NiPdAu/ENEPIG), wet etching, resist stripping, and precision cleaning modules. * ​Root Cause Analysis: Tackle complex, localized process defects—such as thickness non-uniformity or interfacial passivation—using advanced analytical tools (SEM/EDX, AFM). * ​Technology Scaling: Drive the transition of new wet processes from initial lab-scale concepts to robust, high-volume manufacturing (HVM) readiness. * ​Chemical Innovation: Evaluate and integrate next-generation chemistries, including the management of complex stabilizer systems and additive interactions to improve process margins. * ​DOE Leadership: Design and execute sophisticated multi-variate experiments to isolate variables in electrochemical reactions and surface preparation. * ​Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with Lithography, PVD, CVD, R&D, and Assembly teams to ensure seamless process compatibility across the entire device fabrication flow. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES We are looking for a seasoned expert who combines hands-on laboratory discipline with a deep theoretical understanding of wet bench dynamics. ​Requirements: * ​Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related Engineering discipline. * ​Experience: 5 to 10 years of direct experience in semiconductor process development, with a heavy emphasis on wet station technologies. * ​Wet Process Mastery: * Proven track record in Electroless and Electrolytic plating (experience with NiPdAu chemistry and stabilizer management is a significant plus). * Deep expertise in Wet Etching and Wafer Cleaning (SC1/SC2, SPM, and advanced solvent chemistries). * ​Hands-on experience with Resist Stripping and surface preparation for advanced packaging or Front-End-Of-Line (FEOL) applications. * ​Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC). * ​Ability to interpret complex material characterization data to identify chemical stratification or surface poisoning issues. * ​Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to present R&D findings to stakeholders and the "grit" to solve challenges. YOUR ROLE As a Etch Equipment Engineer in ST Singapore, you will be responsible for: * Systematic troubleshooting of equipment-related problems to minimize equipment downtime. * Establish optimum spares and consumables stock to support equipment maintenance. * Establish effective preventive maintenance program me and troubleshooting guide. * Setup effective detection and monitor system to prevent equipment excursion. * Coordinate and drive new equipment hookup, startup and release. * Drive Continuous Improvement project (CIP) to achieve best in class in quality and cost * Train and certify Assistant Maintenance Engineers (AME) and Preventive Maintenance Technician (PMT) in systematic troubleshooting and PM maintenance skill. * Work closely with Process and production engineers to ensure key performance indices are met. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering. * At least 2 years relevant working experience in KLA SPTS OMEGA or AMEC TSV200 Dry Etching equipment * Experience in SPC, FDC, APC, DOE and yield analysis software will be advantages. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills * Good team player * Good communication and documentation skills * Strong sense of responsibility, dedication to assigned tasks, and the ability to work diligently in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities 1\. Equipment Ownership & Uptime * Serve as primary owner for assigned tools, especially, LAM XLE and LAM Rainbow systems. * Maintain and continuously improve OEE, MTBF, and MTTR targets. * Develop and maintain equipment health monitoring and baseline control (SPC, FDC, fault codes, alarms). * Drive daily tool performance reviews, documenting issues, actions, and recovery plans. 2\. Maintenance & Troubleshooting * Plan, execute, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to OEM recommendations and fab strategies. * Perform complex troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, vacuum, RF, gas delivery, and software subsystems. * Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic and high‑impact issues using structured methods (8D, Fishbone, 5‑Why, etc.). * Coordinate and supervise vendor field service engineers (FSEs) and contractors during major interventions, upgrades, and rebuilds. 3\. Process / Equipment Interaction * Work closely with process engineering to ensure equipment performance supports CD, profile, uniformity, selectivity, and defectivity requirements. * Analyze tool logs, SPC charts, metrology data, and wafer maps to correlate equipment conditions with yield and parametric performance. * Support process qualifications, chamber swaps, hardware changes, and recipe releases. * Ensure correct implementation and maintenance of chamber matching between AMAT and TEL tools. 4\. Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction * Identify and implement improvement projects to increase uptime, extend parts lifetime, and reduce operating cost. * Optimize consumables usage and spare parts strategy (buffer stock, repair vs. replace, refurbishment plans). * Participate in or lead CIP / Lean / Six Sigma projects for productivity and quality enhancement. * Support capacity upgrades (chamber additions, throughput improvement, software enhancements). 5\. Documentation, Procedure & Training * Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for AMAT SuperE, AMAT DPS. * Document all events, alarms, interventions, and changes in the equipment history system (EHS/CMMS). * Provide technical training and coaching to equipment technicians, junior engineers, and shift personnel. * Ensure compliance with change management process for hardware, software, and recipe modifications. 6\. Safety & Compliance * Ensure all activities follow EHS regulations, company safety rules, and cleanroom protocols. * Conduct and support risk assessments, LOTO procedures, and safety audits for gas, chemical, RF, and high‑voltage systems. * Support compliance with ISO/Automotive/Quality Management Systems as applicable. Job Requirements 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent 2. Min 5 years of relevant work experience in Semiconductor Etch area, familiar with Etch Equipment (LAM XLE and LAM Rainbow) 3. Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye to details 4. High degree of interpersonal skills and able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams 5.
