Role Summary We are looking for a Process Development Engineer to set up, develop, and industrialize PLP LDI and dry film lamination processes. The successful candidate will support new product and technology introduction, contribute to process optimization, and provide technical expertise to ensure quality, yield, and manufacturing readiness. YOUR ROLE * Set up PLP LDI and Dry film lamination processes. * Develop and industrialize PLP LDI and dry film lamination processes, including material introduction, to meet quality, yield, and new application requirements. * Support the assembly of engineering samples for new packages and new technologies. * Characterize PLP LDI and dry film lamination processes and related materials. * Prepare, generate, and update process specifications, SOPs, FMEAs, and process control plans. * Provide technical support for critical quality concerns related to PLP materials and processes. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute projects effectively and drive continuous improvement. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * More than 3 years of working experience. * Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Engineering, such as (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology, Material science) or equivalent. * Strong statistical data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret process and quality data effectively. * Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in structured methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, Fish Bond, Is/is not…etc. * Ability to anticipate issues, respond quickly to challenges, and resolve problems effectively. * Good knowledge of production environments and manufacturing operations. * Demonstrated teamwork mindset and commitment to high performance and successful project execution. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. YOUR ROLE The successful candidate becomes a member of the wet processes and surface treatment team, especially by assisting in the daily activity of the team, participating in starting up new tools, ensuring the correct processing of the products. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist in developing, implementing, and optimizing new wet cleaning and surface preparation processes for new and existing products on new and existing tools * Collaborate closely with the device engineering team, process integration, quality, maintenance and manufacturing shift teams to ensure seamless process execution and maximize tool uptime * Maintain regular collaboration with suppliers * Analyze process data and troubleshoot issues to achieve process qualification, enhance yield and reduce variability * Prepare detailed documentation, including process flow charts, work instructions, and validation protocols for manufacturing use * Ensure the robustness and manufacturability of the processes with recipe optimization, process window and robustness tasks * Sustain Manufacturing process and equipment troubleshooting * Monitor process performance and yield with SPC, defect analysis and FDC * Troubleshoot excursions and drive root-cause analysis (8D) to restore process stability * Startup new equipment and perform process qualification * Prepare and optimize operative procedure and work instructions. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Good ability to analyze complex data and use tools for statistical analysis * Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken * Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with different teams and external suppliers * Bachelor or Master’s degree in material science, physics, chemistry, engineering or related fields * Teamwork attitude * Basic understanding of semiconductor physics and microfabrication processes. YOUR ROLE The Process Engineer – Leadframe Process & Tooling Expert is responsible for the development, optimization, and sustaining of assembly leadframe processes, with primary ownership of Lead Lock Tape and Lead Trimming operations. The role ensures process robustness, tooling readiness, yield improvement, equipment performance, and continuous manufacturing excellence in a high-volume semiconductor assembly environment * Own and sustain Lead Lock Tape and Lead Trimming assembly processes. * Define, optimize, and troubleshoot process parameters to ensure stable output, high yield, and product quality. * Support tooling design, qualification, modification, and troubleshooting for leadframe and assembly operations. * Investigate process and tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. * Lead process improvement activities using structured problem-solving and data-driven methods. * Support new product introduction (NPI), process transfer, qualification, and ramp-up activities. * Collaborate with Production, Quality, Equipment, Maintenance, and Tooling teams to resolve technical issues. * Conduct process capability analysis, DOE, SPC, and yield loss studies. * Drive scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives. * Maintain and update process documentation such as SOPs, control plans, specifications, and troubleshooting guides. * Support vendor coordination for tooling development, repair, and technical improvement. * Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. * Train and coach operators, technicians, and junior engineers on process best practices YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. * Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor assembly or manufacturing process engineering, preferably in high-volume manufacturing. * Strong hands-on experience in leadframe process engineering, with proven experience in Lead Lock Tape and/or Lead Trimming processes. * Solid background in tooling support, qualification, troubleshooting, and process optimization. * Experience supporting semiconductor back-end assembly operations and exposure to leadframe stamping, plating, trimming, and forming processes is preferred. * Strong knowledge of process control and problem-solving tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis. * Ability to analyze data and drive decisions using tools such as Excel, Minitab, or equivalent. * Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred. * Experience in customer issue resolution and reliability investigations is an advantage. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on technical mindset and ownership attitude. * Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail. * Continuous improvement mindset with strong process discipline. * Willing to work in a manufacturing/assembly environment with frequent presence on the production floor and occasional support outside normal working hours as needed. YOUR ROLE As a Backfinish Process Engineer, you will support the manufacturing and optimization of metallization and backgrind processes in a high-volume semiconductor environment. You will work closely with equipment engineering, production, quality teams to ensure stable process performance, high yields, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include: * Support day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting of metallization and backgrind equipment and processes. * Assist in defining, updating, and maintaining process parameters, recipes, operating windows, and control plans. * Analyze process data, identify abnormalities, and propose corrective actions to improve yield, quality, and equipment reliability. * Participate in root cause analysis for process excursions, equipment stops, defects, and scrap reduction. * Support debugging, qualification, and implementation of process changes, new equipment, and engineering trials. * Work with Production and Quality teams to support issue containment, problem solving, and lot disposition. * Participate in SPC / KPI monitoring, data reviews, and regular reporting on process performance. * Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, productivity, and safety.
