YOUR ROLE As a Field Application Engineer, you will provide technical support to automotive customers on 32-bit MCU products and help them successfully integrate our solutions into their systems. You will work closely with customer engineers to troubleshoot technical issues in both software and hardware, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to customer success across the APeC region. Through your technical expertise and customer interaction, you will also support the growth of our business. * Provide technical support to automotive customers on 32-bit MCU products. * Identify new business opportunities through technical support and design-in activities. * Cooperate with customer engineers to investigate technical issues in both software and hardware, and drive problem resolution. * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key engineers at key customer accounts. * Collaborate with FAE teams in Japan, Taiwan, and South Asia to support customers across the APeC region. * Contribute to the growth of our business as a field engineer by supporting successful customer projects and design wins. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * 8 to 12 years of experience in MCU-based software and/or hardware development, application engineering, or similar technical support roles. * Experience in design-in and design-win activities for 32-bit MCU products in automotive applications. * Basic knowledge of MCU architecture, such as ARM and PowerPC. * Experience in programming microcontrollers in C and/or Assembly language. * Experience in MCU firmware and device driver development. * Experience with Linux/Posix-based operating systems is preferred. * Experience with AUTOSAR is preferred, especially Classic AUTOSAR. * Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent. * Fluent in English, both written and spoken. This role will involve actively working in a matrix organisation structure supporting a variety of complex assignments for both Production and Development Integrated Project Teams (IPT’s) in the Radar and Advanced Targeting sector. The focus for this role will be the management of complex sub-contract commitments for requirements that require both tactical and strategic thinking, supply will be both tangible and intangible in their nature. The IPTs demand associated with Production & Development continues to grow within the Radar and Advanced Targeting Sector and requires any individual successfully appointed able to translate complex, early concept customer requirements and ensure that these are carefully flowed down to subcontractors ensuring back-to-back campaigns and project execution.
