YOUR ROLE For our General Purpose and Automotive Microcontroller Division (GPAM) / GPAM Automotive & Open Community Framework Team we are looking for a highly skilled SW Functional Safety Senior Engineer to contribute to the software functional safety activities for automotive and industrial embedded software solutions associated with STM32 and Stellar microcontrollers. The successful candidate will act as a key safety expert within the Automotive & OCF organization, supporting the development of safety-certified software products, safety libraries, AUTOSAR-based solutions, and customer projects while ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 / IEC 60730 and other relevant safety standards. The role is aimed at accelerating the definition and the implementation of IC in Personal Electronics solutions. The requested figure is represented by a brilliant analog FE design engineer able to propose ideas and design solutions in the context of analog front end for Power Management ICs. The activities will be focused on system-level implementation, strongly interacting with other departments. Candidate’s key role is based on the cooperation with the system architect, developing blocks and sub-systems to meet the overall target performance, following transistor-level implementation and all simulation/ verification activities. The candidate will work also closely to the layout engineer to drive the layout activity of the designed IPs and he/she will verify the layout impact with post-layout simulations. He/She will participate to the evaluation and characterization of the followed products to verify the functionality and the performances of the designed blocks. YOUR ROLE As part of the Imaging division, a world-leading developer of optical solutions, the successful candidate manages a team of analogue designers in Edinburgh, Scotland, that specializes in Time-of-Flight products. These devices leverage single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technology to deliver high-precision, time-resolved imaging for mobile and non-mobile applications requiring 3D and depth sensing. The analogue team plays a critical role from architecture through design, implementation, verification, all the way to support for volume production. The team activities cover both intellectual property (IP) and the full mixed-signal system of a Time-of-Flight device. In addition to managing the analogue team, the role interfaces with other managers and teams in the wider silicon development organization in Edinburgh. These teams include digital, firmware, physical implementation, validation, and engineering teams. The role also interfaces with managers of other analogue teams in ST's Imaging division.
