Overview
Job Description: The role is within Flight Control Systems department which is a part of the Aircraft System Integration area within the Engineering Directorate. The purpose of the role is to carry-out Embedded Software Development activities. Main Tasks: • Management of software items, from source code creation to software build and deployment • HW/SW and SW/SW integration activity within Flight Control Computer team • Source code development within Model-Based Design process (code auto-generator) and/or traditional process (hand-written code) • Support troubleshooting and debug activity on simulated or real platform • Software configuration activity according to applicable procedures and standards • Participation in software peer-review meeting • Contribution to software architecture definition, with particular attention to efficiency, maintenance and re-usability • Contribution to evaluation and selection of proper HW and SW platforms for Flight Control Computer Education : Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences, Electronics, Telecommunications or similar Seniority: Junior (1-3 years) Technical Skills : • Knowledge of C/C++ programming • Capable of performing troubleshoot and debug on existing code (and based on Problem Reports list) • Knowledge of scripting languages for Unix/Windows • Understanding of common best-practices for software engineering and configuration management processes • Knowledge of data bus protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, Ethernet, Serial (e.g. RS-232/422/485) • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink modeling language Soft Skills : • Analytical and organized in the day-by-day activity • Collaborative and proactive Language: English (B2 or higher) Desirable Requirements : • Knowledge of key aspects of embedded systems such as scheduling, memory management, CPU throughput, numeric precision, etc. • Knowledge of airborne software standards such as RTCA DO-178B/C, DO-330, DO-331 • Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) • Hands-on experience with avionics electrical interfaces including analog, digital, discrete I/O • Hands-on experience with data bus protocols such as ARINC 429, CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, AFDX • Knowledge of ADA programming language Seniority: Junior Primary Location: IT - Varese - Cascina Costa Contract Type: Permanent Total Base Pay Range: Hybrid Working: Hybrid
