Facilitate pipelines, which prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling. Working with domain teams to scale the processing of data. Identify opportunities for data acquisition. Combine raw information from different sources. Manage and maintain automated tools for data quality and reliability. Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability. Collaborate with data scientists, IT, and architects on several projects. What you’ll bring Successful Candidates will have previous experience as a data or software engineer in a similar role. Requirements include; Technical expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and leveraging data services. Proficient in DataOps methodologies and tools, including experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, containerisation, and workflow orchestration. Familiar with ETL/ELT frameworks, and experienced with Big Data Processing Tools (e.g. Spark, Airflow, Hive, etc.) Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, SQL) Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL database design. Degree in STEM, or similar field; a master’s is a plus. Data engineering certification (e.g. IBM Certified Data Engineer) is a plus. ROLE In this role, you'll be seen by the team as the go-to person for most of our data pipelines and data science/ML projects. This isn't a research-focused position — the workflows you build will be used in real-life, production applications that directly impact our users and partners. Your work will play a key role in powering our platform and driving meaningful results across the board. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Data Engineering: - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data. - Collaborate with the engineering team to develop efficient data storage solutions (e.g., data lakes, warehouses) and ensure smooth data flow for AI, data science and analytics use cases. - Data Science & AI/ML: - Develop, train, and deploy AI/ML models for prediction, recommendation, and optimization tasks, with a focus on Pricing, Risk Management and Catalog Management. - Continuously experiment and validate model performance, ensuring robustness and scalability in real-world applications. - Work on applied AI techniques such as natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision to enhance company products and services. SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Experience with programming languages and tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Spark, Pandas, Polars) - Proficiency in data science and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting). - Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Spacy). - Passion for AI applications in fintech, sustainability, and the circular economy. - Nice to have: - Experience with cloud environment (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure), cloud computing and ETL. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, Seaborn) - Proficiency with version control (e.g., Git)
