La persona si occuperà delle seguenti attività: Progettare e sviluppare componenti di RAG/LLM per risposte sintetiche e spiegabili su documenti interni (prompting, tool/function calling se previsto, gestione multi-turn). Definire e implementare metodologie di valutazione (offline/online) per qualità delle risposte: groundedness (aderenza alle fonti), completezza, coerenza, gestione incertezza e copertura del retrieval. Creare dataset di test e “golden set” di dominio (domande reali, query complesse, casi ambigui/contraddittori) e automatizzare la generazione di report di performance. Tuning del retrieval ibrido (BM25 + semantic): scelta top-k, pesi, filtri metadati, dedup/reranking e query rewriting per sigle/gergo tecnico. Sviluppare logiche di planning per query complesse (decomposizione in sotto-query/DAG) e criteri di stop/iterazione del ciclo retrieve→answer→critique. Collaborare con team di piattaforma per integrazione con inference backend e garantire requisiti di latenza/streaming (SSE) e robustezza in modalità degraded. Implementare strumenti e pipeline software (Python) per esperimenti riproducibili: tracking configurazioni, versioning prompt/modelli, ablation study, analisi errori e regressioni. Titolo di studio: Laurea magistrale o PhD in Data Science, Informatica, Ingegneria, Matematica, Statistica o discipline affini Seniority: Junior/Expert. Conoscenze e competenze tecniche: Ottima programmazione in Python (design modulare, testing, packaging), uso di Git e code review. Esperienza con NLP/LLM e architetture RAG (embeddings, chunking, retrieval, grounding, citazioni). Capacità di costruire evaluation framework: metriche automatiche + human-in-the-loop, analisi qualitativa degli errori, definizione di soglie e criteri di accettazione. Familiarità con vector search e sistemi di ricerca (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch o equivalenti), BM25, KNN, reranking. Conoscenza di FastAPI/REST per integrazione servizi e debugging di flussi end-to-end. Buone basi di statistica sperimentale (A/B test concettuale, significatività, bias/variance), ottimizzazione e interpretazione risultati. Gradita esperienza con stack containerizzato (Docker/Kubernetes) e GPU inference (concetti di latenza, batching, timeouts). Competenze comportamentali: Forte orientamento al risultato e capacità di passare dal prototipo al software robusto. The successful candidate would provide technical expertise within the Land and Naval domain of Leonardo with a focus on IP network and virtual environment technologies for predominantly naval platforms. Working within an Integrated Project Team and be responsible to the Project System Design Authority for the configuration, implementation, documentation and verification of Cisco based network and Windows server data architectures within some of the most demanding naval environments. As your responsibility develops, there will be an opportunity to work towards Design Authority status for IP network and virtual environments. What you'll do All assigned systems engineering aspects of new and existing networks and network applications embodied on naval platforms working at all phases of the development lifecycle. Support the development of current and future systems architectures/design and their implementation. Support to the capture of design artefacts as appropriate for all stages in the engineering lifecycle appropriate for managing existing systems and for taking concepts through to development. Test definition, test execution and fault finding across IP networks and hosted systems. Development of system installation and setting to work guidance. Working closely with customers through the verification and validation stages of projects to ensure systems meet their requirements and needs. Once deployed, the day-to-day support of the networks is generally performed by the customer, with Leonardo UK providing spare equipment and design authority support (such as obsolescence management and approval of configuration changes) What you’ll bring Solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols. The Project Accountant will play an important role in the Finance Team of the new Joint Venture with our partners BAE and MHI, joining right at the start of its journey. This is a rare opportunity to have exposure to a wide range of tasks and stakeholders at the inception of a new programme, helping shape enduring processes and practices. Due to the fast-moving nature of the new company, the role is expected to offer a varied workload which will provide an excellent environment to develop skills and will need a candidate who is able to adapt to a changing environment. Accountabilities: Contributing to the shaping of the GCAP JV’s Project Finance policies, processes, and procedures; Reviewing and understanding key contracts and preparing associated Sales & Margin Trading Plans, as well as regular reports on contract status and broader management accounts packs; Collaborating with other functions to understand underlying contract status and proactively resolve any issues, and with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, so to ensure customer claims are raised in a timely and accurate manner, and that vendor charges are appropriate and understood; Liaising with the Accounting & Reporting teams to ensure the correct accounting treatment has been adopted for any events requiring judgement; Other ad-hoc support required across the business partnering and project finance domains which will arise in the early stages of life of the new business Qualifications Relevant financial qualification (or studying towards it, depending on the level of seniority); Strong academic background and track record.
