Job Description: Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity. Your Impact At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Employee Relations Advisor. The role is based out of Leonardo’s Yeovil site in Somerset, working primarily for the Helicopter Division. You will be required to lead on a wide range of Employee & Industrial Relations activities. You will provide effective, efficient, and well thought through solutions on a varied range of complex employee relations matters, to both our People leader community and providing expert guidance and counsel to the HR community across the UK. What you'll do as a Senior Employee Relations Advisor: Working in collaboration with People leaders, People managers and the People function to provide effective solutions and specialist knowledge on matters associated with UK Employment Legislation, Directives and Codes of Practice, Employment Terms and Conditions, Transfer of Undertakings, Trade Union relations and Collective Bargaining arrangements. Establish good working relationships with our recognised Trade Union representatives and Employee Representatives. Have experience in preparing documentation for Trade Union negotiations and the ability to create and review collective agreements. Provide a proactive Employee Relations case management service on all matters that involve disciplinary, grievance, mediation, capability, performance, conduct, and absence management. Responsible for developing and implementing Employment Frameworks, Policies, Procedures and Guidance for Leonardo UK that covers a broad spectrum of employment matters Ensure Employee/Industrial Relations issues are dealt with effectively, efficiently and ensuring the company remains compliant in accordance with Employment Frameworks, Policies, Procedures, UK Employment Legislation, Directives and Codes of Practice Coach and Train People Leaders and People Managers, building a positive Employee Relations environment which is trust based and aligns with our values Regularly maintain relevant Employee/Industrial Relations documents, files, records and management information systems as necessary Be a point of escalation for complex issues relating to policy and process interpretation. Ensuring a positive, fair, equitable and supportive work environment for all employees. What we'll need from you: Current and relevant experience of direct operational Employee Relations situations with a proven record of resolving complex and challenging case management activity. Ideally working in an environment that collective labour relations are the norm. Excellent collaboration, consultative, negotiating and communication skills are necessary Current and relevant working knowledge of UK Employment Legislation, Directives and Codes of Practice Ability to create and build productive working relationships at all levels of the company and with external third-party partnerships and organisations. CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5) to include specific modules in Employee Relations and Employment Law Experience of working directly with ACAS and Employment Tribunal services Working experience of regular engagement with Trade Union Representatives and Consultative Forums. Effective consulting and coaching skills, with workplace mediation experience desirable. Confident and articulate influencer and communicator at all levels; proven presentation skills This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.
