Job Title Facilities Operation Engineer Department Facilities O&M / Maintenance Job Purpose The Facilities Operation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the site’s facilities utilities. The role also provides support for the coordination and maintenance activities related to facilities system as well as management of contractors, to ensure operational stability, equipment reliability, and compliance with company requirements. Key Responsibilities General Facilities Operation: * Manage comprehensive facilities operations, providing direct oversight and guidance to technical staff/technicians/chargeman * Oversee day-to-day operation checklists, utilities consumption, trending and providing comprehensive reports and improvement * Establish operational procedures, OPL, work instructions and enforce LOP/SOP/POR compliance in Facilities Department. * Manage facilities operational budget and purchase related operation system rectification and stock balance. * Manage Operational work records, competency monitoring & regulatory requirement check, Online Gas Monitoring, stock balance, and other online monitoring system related to facilities operation. * Involve in all Facilities related meetings, discussion, visits, audits, central team Electrical Systems * Manage and maintain 132 kV and 11 kV substations with the supervision of competent person * Oversee operation and provide support for maintenance of electrical rooms, Main Switchboards (MSB), and breakers, including GIS, ACB, VCB, gensets, and all related electrical systems * Support on troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and restoration of electrical systems * Use FMCS for monitoring, alarm review, and troubleshooting support * Perform trend analysis and plotting to identify abnormalities and prevent failures * Prepare accurate Operation reports, records, and technical documentation Mechanical System (HVAC, Cold room, Vacuum, Scrubber, Exhaust, and Cleanroom) * Oversee operation of HVAC systems, Cold Room, Vacuum, Scrubber, exhaust and cleanroom facilities and provide support on the maintenance activities * Coordinate with the engineer responsible for these systems to ensure all activities are properly controlled, monitored, and completed * Support maintenance activities related to cleanroom management, including HEPA filter integrity testing, calibration, and related works * Ensure system reliability, compliance, and continuity of operation * Oversee operation of Water, Wastewater & Gas System and provide support on the maintenance activities * Management of contract workers, contractors and vendors related to the system. * Coordinate with the engineer responsible for these systems to ensure all activities are properly controlled, monitored, and completed * Ensure system reliability, compliance, and continuity of operation Water, Wastewater & Gas System (DIW, Wastewater, Recovery, SIVL, GN2, H2, Forming Gas, Cylinder Gas Management ) Projects, Improvements, and Support * Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, safety, and performance * Support hook-up work inside production areas * Support on the management of vendors and contractors to ensure work quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with company requirements * Coordinate closely with production, maintenance, engineering, EHS, and external service providers Safety and Compliance * Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards * Support safe work practices, risk control, and equipment reliability at all times Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) or a related field * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Facilities operation * Familiarity with FMCS, CMMS, troubleshooting, and trend monitoring * Strong knowledge of documentation, reporting, and maintenance record keeping * Experience in managing vendors and contractors * Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills Key Competencies * Technical leadership * Facilities and utility systems knowledge * Vendor management * Documentation and reporting * Problem-solving and decision-making * Cross-functional coordination * Environmental, Safety & health awareness ST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2026 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
