YOUR ROLE * Perform and manage IC failure analysis activities, including electrical verification, fault isolation, physical defect localization, and root cause analysis. * Prepare and publish clear, accurate FA reports to relevant stakeholders to support root cause investigation and define corrective and preventive actions. * Present FA findings, investigation status, and recommendations in cross-functional meetings with Division, Field Quality Service, Process, and related teams. * Review, validate, and improve 8D report content prepared by QA Engineers prior to approval, ensuring the reports meet required quality standards. * Compile and analyze customer complaint data for Quality Meetings and Management Reviews. * Coordinate with technicians and operators and provide guidance or coaching as needed to ensure effective execution of FA activities. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive effective resolution. * Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams. * Strong knowledge of failure analysis techniques, including: * Sample preparation: mechanical polishing, backside preparation, chemical decapsulation * Imaging: optical microscopy, SEM, FIB / plasma FIB, 2D / 3D X-ray * Material analysis: EDX, FTIR * Fault isolation: IR-OBIRCH, TEM, EMMI * Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Ishikawa/Fishbone analysis. * Good understanding of wafer fab, assembly, and testing processes. * Ability to anticipate issues, manage challenges proactively, and resolve problems promptly. * Able to lead and support technicians and operators in daily FA activities. * Able to work in a fast-paced environment; experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
