STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Industrial Engineer (AnyLogic & Layout) within the Industrial Engineering Department. Duties & Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Model Development: Create, configure, and validate, optimize simulation models using Anylogic. * Scenario Analysis: Run experiments, parameter variations, and optimizations to quantify possible scenarios and find process bottlenecks. * Stakeholder Reporting: Analyze simulation outputs and present actionable, data-driven recommendations to clients and business leaders. * Incorporate system requirements in constructing simulation models employing unique capabilities of AnyLogic software by utilizing the most effective simulation method or combination of simulation methods. * Distribute and oversee task execution within the Engineering teams. * Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of systems * Collaborate with development teams, tech leads, and business stakeholders on architecture and product evolution. * Identify engineering needs and define the problem scope in order to develop effective yet creative solutions. * Foster engineering culture (ownership, reliability, security-first mindset). * Participate proactively in meetings with engineering team members. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate shall: * Possess a degree or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. * Have knowledge of AnyLogic or other simulation tools. * Have knowledge of AutoCAD. * Be able to develop and interpret layouts and process flows. * Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. * Be capable of working independently and within a team. * Have strong communication and presentation skills. * Be methodical, proactive, responsible, and goal oriented. * Knowledge of Lean methodologies, or experience in semiconductor manufacturing will be considered an asset. Job Purpose The intern will support simulation projects through technical modeling, visual content creation, and coordination of systems software project activities. This role is suited for a candidate interested in combining simulation analysis, 3D animation, and project management support within an engineering environment. The internship also provides exposure to semiconductor process steps and flows, as well as future advanced automation technologies in manufacturing applications. Key Responsibilities * To develop and test AnyLogic simulation models for production and automation use cases. * Support Blender-based 3D drawing and animation work for project communication and video rendering. * Help prepare presentation materials, charts, and project documentation for internal and external reviews. * Provide assistance in tracking project tasks, timelines, and deliverables for simulation projects. * Coordinate with engineers and project stakeholders to gather inputs and update project materials. * Support system software project activities, including documentation and basic analysis. * Assist in understanding and presenting semiconductor process steps, production flows, and automation use cases. * Perform general administrative and coordination support as required. Required Skills / Competencies * Educational background in engineering, simulation, automation, semiconductor, or related disciplines. * Exposure to simulation tools such as AnyLogic is preferred. * Basic experience with Blender for 3D design or animation is an advantage. * Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work in a structured team environment.
