YOUR ROLE You will take part to the development of new technology platforms for MEMS sensor products following the different phases from feasibility to prototyping, from qualification to transfer to manufacturing and industrialization. You will be part of to a cross functional team that will contribute to innovate ST technology and products portfolio and consolidate and improve STMicroelectronics leadership in the MEMS market. As a part of this team you will be responsible of: * Driving the development and implementation of new MEMS technologies ensuring their adherence to target performances; * Leading or co-leading the process integration activities to build the technology platform; * Performing Inline and Electrical Data Analysis during the development stage; * Planning and characterizing R&D trials with other team functions; * Managing R&D Prototypes Diffusion; * Leading Problem Solving Tasks during the development and industrialization phase. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Master’s degree in engineering or physics * 2-5 yrs in MEMS/Semiconductor Field * Basic Semiconductor Fabrication Processes knowledge * English business proficiency * Teamwork skills * Creativity. The expected salary range for this position is € 42,000 – €50,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role. In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies. POSTE A POURVOIR EN CDD - jusque fin juin 2027 A propos de vos missions Responsable des technologies industrielles, le département Device Engineering doit optimiser et améliorer les performances des produits en relation avec les ingénieurs test et les clients, soutenir la production et les montées en volume en lien avec l'unité de fabrication. Nous recherchons un(e) ingénieur(e) Device pour travailler sur les technologies capteurs d'images et détecteurs de proximité sur le site de Crolles 300mm. Vous participez à l'industrialisation des nouveaux produits, optimisez les performances, améliorez les rendements et soutenez la production en résolvant des problématiques techniques complexes et variées. Vos missions : * Responsabilité d’un ou plusieurs produits en lien étroit avec les ingénieurs tests et qualité basés à Grenoble, en Asie et en Ecosse * Recherche des axes d’amélioration des procédés de fabrication pour optimiser les rendements, la qualité et les performances électro- optiques des capteurs * Analyse d’images et développement de techniques de diagnostic * Participation aux essais sur silicium en collaboration avec les ingénieurs intégration de procédés * Support technique aux clients * Industrialisation des nouveaux produits. As a senior member of the MEMS design team, the MEMS design expert leads and contributes to all phases of product development for innovative 3-axis accelerometers and 3-axis gyroscopes. Main activities of the MEMS design expert include: •Lead feasibility studies and select sensor architectures to meet specifications. •Design sensor layouts and conduct simulations to predict sensor performance across manufacturing variability and real-world application scenarios. •Develop novel simulation models to describe sensor behavior in new environmental conditions. •Plan and perform sensor validation and characterization. •Contribute to new sensor research and development in collaboration with design centers and universities. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience as an inertial MEMS designer and holds a PhD in MEMS design or manufacturing, or at least seven years of experience as an inertial MEMS designer and holds a degree in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or electronic engineering. The candidate demonstrates expertise in MEMS sensors, including design principles, simulation tools, and instruments used for sensor validation. Basic knowledge of MEMS technology, inertial sensor architectures, and sensor calibration and characterization is required. Proficiency with finite element method (FEM) simulations and MATLAB® is required. The candidate must demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and a drive for innovation.
