As a Process Senior Engineer or Engineer in STMicroelectronics, you will be responsible to: Job Description * Transfer, develop and/or release new process. Characterize and improve existing/new processes through DOE and date driven analysis. * Set up effective Equipment and Process Control system to maintain process performance and prevent/reduce any excursion * Troubleshoot out-of-control situations and yield excursion. Decide on the lot disposition in an out-of-spec situation. Establish Control Action System, specifications for procedures to be followed * Drive Continuous Improvement Project (CIP) to achieve best in class in yield, quality and cost * Train Shift Process Engineer/Assistant Engineer. Create proper procedure and documentation of processes. * Work closely with Device, Quality, Equipment and production colleague to ensure key module objectives are met. Requirements: * Master / Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Chemical Engineering or Degree in Physics/Chemistry. * Minimum 3 years working experience as Dry Etching or Ashing process engineer in 6” or 8” fab. * For Dry etching, prefer personnel with recipe development experience in LAM etcher. * Diploma holder with >5 years working experiences can be considered. * Experience in SPC, DOE, FDC and yield analysis software. * Attention to detail and have good analytical and problem solving skills. * Good communication and documentation skills. * Good teamwork. Position Summary Responsible for sustaining, improving, and optimizing plating and resist stripping processes to ensure stable manufacturing performance, high product yield, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities * Provide daily engineering support for plating and resist stripping processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. * Monitor and optimize key process parameters to ensure product quality, process stability, and yield performance. * Troubleshoot process excursions, defects, and equipment-related issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. * Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, DOE, and SPC. * Drive yield improvement, defect reduction, process capability, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency projects. * Establish and maintain process specifications, SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, and reaction plans. * Support process qualification, process changes, new product introduction, and equipment/process improvement activities. * Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Facilities, and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve process performance. * Ensure compliance with company quality systems, safety requirements, and manufacturing standards. Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction * Identify opportunities and initiate actions to improve the yield performance, productivity, cycle time, and quality and cost. * Work on cost saving through minimizing material waste, process downtime reduction, increasing throughput, and removing redundant process steps. * Improving cycle time by exploring any opportunity on process capability, line layout, increasing equipment throughput and improving tools stability. Job Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent * Min 5 years of relevant work experience in Semiconductor Etch area, familiar with Etch Processes * Strong Etch process technical background with experience to develop and optimize new process recipe * Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye to details * High degree of interpersonal skills and able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams * Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D methodologies.
