    Job Description: Your impact At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for a Production Test Engineer to join our team. The Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business, based in Edinburgh, is uniquely positioned as one of the world's top manufacturers of radars, lasers and infrared countermeasure systems. This is a permanent nightshift vacancy. There are two nightshift shift patterns we are recruiting for: Monday to Thursday Nightshift (37 hours) - 9.25 hour shifts with a 30% shift premium + basic salary 4 on 4 off Nightshift (42 hours)- 10.5 hour shifts with a 40% shift premium + basic salary As a Test Engineer you will join our Operations team and have the opportunity to build cross-functional relationships and be a positive influence within the IPT to support the future of the business. Job role opportunities involve various RADAR platforms for fixed and rotary wing aircraft such as Euro-fighter Typhoon, surveillance systems for coast guard helicopters and/or micro-electrionics for aircraft warning systems and countermeasures. All roles require testing and diagnostic analysis of 'cutting edge' avionic systems for a wide range of military aircraft. As a Test engineer, you will have the opportunity to pro actively engage in activities such as: Test & fault diagnosis of complex system level products and their associated sub assemblies, in a high technology aerospace & defence manufacturing environment. Carry out fault diagnosis to component level To identify and pursue solutions to shortcomings with respect to test equipment, test methods and test documentation. Interpretation and adherence to test specifications/ technical drawings and circuit diagrams. Electrical Safety Testing/ Product Acceptance Testing/ Vibration & Thermal testing/ RF testing Maintain effective and pro-active communication with Project, Quality and Engineering functions To ensure standard handover procedure and effective communication is applied over all products Responsibility for designated 5s areas to be completed in line with daily/weekly/monthly sign off sheets You will work closely with Systems and Electronics engineers to solve real integration problems on complex systems You may have opportunities to contribute towards the investigation and analysis of leading edge development methodologies and influence the future path of development within Leonardo What you’ll bring HND or above, in system, electrical, RF engineering Understanding of electrical motors, gimbals and how they work A good understand of measurement and test principles, and equipment. An understanding of RF and Microwave technology at subsystem level would be an advantage Have experience with focusing cameras/ optics and the effect this can have at system level Understanding and standard working practices of safety precautions required when integrating or aligning an electro mechanical device Applying statistical process control (SPC) for fault / trend diagnosis within a production environment Experience in working in clean rooms - Should have an understanding of working in cleanrooms and the importance of this to the quality of the job This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above.     Job Description: Addetto Troubleshooting L'addetto/a Troubleshooting è l'interfaccia diretta delle aree tecniche, dei reparti e degli equipaggi di volo per la risoluzione dei difetti che vengono segnalati in Hangar e sul Libretto di Volo, durante l’esecuzione dei test funzionali. Focus sul “continuous improvement” cercando di migliorare i prodotti, sia in termini tecnici che qualitativi, mediante “risalita produttiva”, per ridurre l’incidenza delle anomalie segnalate e soddisfare quindi le richieste cliente. La risorsa si dovrà occupare di analizzare i dati di diagnostica per monitorare le vibrazioni dell’elicottero e per il monitoraggio dei parametri motore; oltre a monitorare indicatori di prestazione (KPI) per misurare l'efficacia dei processi all’interno dell’ente “Troubleshooting”. L’obiettivo principale è garantire l’affidabilità, la sicurezza e le prestazioni dei sistemi di bordo attraverso la ricerca logica e sistematica della risoluzione di un problema, al fine di risolverlo e rendere nuovamente operativo il sistema stesso. Responsabilità : Analizzare e risolvere anomalie tecniche su sistemi e componenti aeronautici, in collaborazione a ingegneria, produzione e qualità. Interpretare ed elaborare i dati tecnici applicabili alle diverse piattaforme, per la stesura della documentazione produttiva. Sviluppare report per l’analisi dei dati inerenti a “Engine & Vibration Monitoring”. Supportare attività di miglioramento continuo e ottimizzazione dei processi. Documentare le analisi svolte e le soluzioni implementate secondo gli standard aziendali e normativi. Requisiti : Laurea in Ingegneria Aeronautica, Meccanica, Elettronica o discipline affini. Esperienza in attività di troubleshooting preferibilmente in ambito aeronautico (elettroavionico e flight data analysis). Competenze di analisi dati (Excel avanzato, Power BI, Matlab, etc…) Conoscenza dei sistemi aeronautici e dei principi di manutenzione. Capacità di problem solving strutturato e pensiero analitico. Familiarità con normative aeronautiche (es. EASA, FAA). Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese. Soft skills : Capacità di gestire le attività secondo priorità. Ottime doti comunicative e di lavoro in team. Approccio proattivo e orientato al miglioramento continuo.
