Key skills and behaviours include: Hands on Experience : Around 4 years of practical experience in software engineering using C# .NET, delivering reliable solutions as part of a team. Exposure to microservices and containerisation is a plus.     Job Description: We're looking for a skilled and passionate Cloud Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure running at our premises, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and highly available. Additionally, depending on project needs, you will also be tasked to support our local IT teams at our customers premises, mainly ESOC and EUMETSAT, providing engineering services in the domain of cloud computing. If you have a strong background in cloud technologies and a desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, manage and monitor cloud solutions based on public and private cloud platforms, for Telespazio, and its customers (ESA, EUMETSAT). Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes. Support application teams in setting up development pipelines according to modern Dev (Sec)Ops practices. Collaborate with the development teams to support applications deployment and scaling, using modern concepts and approach (e.g. containers). Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues and optimizing the cloud environment for cost, scalability, availability and efficiency. Ensure that the cloud solutions are compliant with policies and security rules and frameworks. Support the definition of technical proposals in response to ITTs in the cloud computing domain. Essential Skills and Qualifications University degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or other relevant discipline Essentially Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role. Hands-on experience with public cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and/or private cloud solutions (e.g., OpenStack) Proficiency with automation and IaC tools, like TerraForm, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline. Very good knowledge of containerization techniques, orchestration and tools (e.g., PodMan, Docker, k8s) Very good knowledge of cloud and mainstream monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) Strong understanding of systems and networking concepts, security best practices, system engineering and administration. Very good knowledge of Linux and modern mainstream distributions (e.g. RedHat, Ubuntu). Excellent communication, presentation, and proactivity. Consolidated problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Proficiency in English Desirable Skills Having worked within the European space industry environment. Strong technical writing skills, especially in writing technical documentation. Very good knowledge of mainstream COTS for HW, tools and SW in the domain of cloud computing and Dev(Sec)Ops. Knowledge of FinOps principles, tools and techniques. Experience in participating to the definition of technical proposals in response to ITTs. Knowledge of relevant standards (ECSS).
