Your Impact Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Customs Compliance Operations Lead to work within its Trade Compliance Function to support the management and control of all aspects of UK Customs and UK Export Controls, and Compliance. As the Customs Compliance Operations Lead you will provide business support services including advice and guidance to Leonardo Helicopters functions to ensure the company remains compliant with Customs and Excise Management Act, UK Export Control laws, US Export Control laws and other relevant laws and regulations. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world data engineering projects and the opportunity to contribute to impactful solutions in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines across various systems and platforms. Assist with data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), preprocessing, and validation to improve data quality and consistency. Contribute to the development and optimization of data processing workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Assist in documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of data engineering processes and tools. Depending on project needs, support data-related activities connected to materials engineering or other technical domains. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with data processing frameworks and technologies such as Databricks, Apache Airflow, Spark, and/or SQL databases. Proficiency in Python programming. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience with data visualization, scripting, or web development is a plus.
