All’interno della Divisione Spazio , stiamo ricercando un/una Satellite Communication Engineer per la nostra sede di Roma – Via Faustiniana. La persona si occuperà di : Partecipare a progetti nazionali ed internazionali per lo sviluppo di Sistemi di Comunicazioni Satellitari a livello di Segmento Spaziale, di Terra o Segmento Utente in ambito ASI, ESA, EUSPA ed altri enti erogatori di finanziamenti, nonché in progetti condotti da Leonardo in collaborazione con altri enti Partecipare ad attività inerenti al progetto di sistemi avanzati di comunicazioni satellitari multi-orbita (almeno LEO e GEO) e multi-frequenza quali, in modo non esclusivo, progetto di payload di bordo, rigenerativi e trasparenti, sviluppo di Link Budget, Inter-Satellite Link, comunicazioni Quantum e QKD, soluzioni Cloud e Data Storage in spazio, orchestrazione ed utilizzo di soluzione AI. Partecipare a lavori di comitati ed associazioni internazionali di settore per lo sviluppo di standard e regolamentazioni quali ETSI ed ITU. Titolo di studio: Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Elettronica e/o Aerospaziale, con specializzazione in Telecomunicazioni. Nice to have: Master o PhD in Comunicazioni Satellitari Sicure, Quantum Communication o QKD Livello di esperienza richiesto: Junior: 1-3 y di esperienza nel ruolo Expert: 3-5 y di esperienza nel ruolo Competenze e conoscenze tecniche: Progettazione di Sistemi di Comunicazione Satellitare o progetto di payload ed antenne di bordo, acquisiti in progetti nazionali ed internazionali finanziati. Conoscenza teorica delle tecniche di acceso multiplo, correzione d’errore, progetto di Link Budget, propagazione del segnale satellitare e tecniche crittografiche, nonché conoscenza dell’applicazione di Inter-Satellite Link per comunicazioni satellitari. Costituisce un plus l’aver maturato esperienze, anche brevi, in una o più delle seguenti aree: progetto ed utilizzo di antenne Phased-Array e tecniche di beamforming, conoscenza del progetto di terminali utenti avanzati, conoscenza ed applicazione delle tecniche crittografiche quantistiche, QKD, progetto e sviluppo di soluzioni di Intelligenza Artificiale e di Cybersecurity, progetto di sistemi Cloud o conoscenza degli standard ETSI 3GPP e relativo approccio NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network). Support and mentor fellow DevSecOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture and driving continuous improvement to address operational issues. Advanced experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and automation tools (Terraform & Ansible) for automating infrastructure builds and configuration. Strong experience of designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to automate builds, tests & deployments to ensure secure and compliant delivery of applications. Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters in a production setting, with a focus on security and scalability. Previous experience of developing and managing Helm charts for secure Kubernetes application deployments.
