Job Description STMicroelectronics Malta is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our IT Team. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the proper execution of daily IT scheduled procedures, including daily cut-off procedures, backups, and the maintenance of DTIT manufacturing peripherals such as printers, microterminals, and computers. The job holder shall work on a 4 Shift pattern, consisting of Day (06:00 till 18:00), Night (18:00 till 06:00), Rest and Off, including weekends and Public Holidays. Duties & Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Provide first-level support for production operations, on a 24/7 basis if needed. * Monitor servers and system dashboards to detect anomalies, outages, or performance degradation. * Monitor daily IT procedure flows, backups, and hardware using appropriate tools. * Acknowledge system alerts, analyse root causes, and perform initial troubleshooting based on standard operating procedures. * Log all incident actions in ServiceNow and document resolution steps. * Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the relevant second-level engineering teams. * Diagnose and resolve basic network issues, UTP network cable terminations * Manage service requests and incidents through the ticketing system. * Install and configure computer security software as needed. * Respond promptly to network and service issues. * Provide technical support to users on-site or remotely. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate shall: * Hold a diploma (MQF Level 4) in IT or Computer Technology. * Have proven experience as an IT Technician or in a related role. * Demonstrate excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Have excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Have a good knowledge of computer systems and networks.
