Job Description STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. are seeking to recruit a Metrology Engineer to work within its Metrology Department. The position holder must be meticulous on his/her job and attentive to detail. The role involves being part of and actively contributing to the creation and maintenance of vision recipes for the new technologies. Duties & Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Assisting in the setup, monitoring and execution of scanning inspection for semi-conductor devices. * Collecting and analysing AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) data to identify trends, failures and areas of improvement. * Supporting the optimisation of AOI process. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality and equipment engineering. * Documenting process flows and technical reporting clearly and accurately. * Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. * Adhering to safety and quality standards in all process activities. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate shall: * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Experience in AI integration considered an asset. * Six-Sigma Green/Black Belt. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Be familiar with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MS Power BI or similar). * Have good understanding of Safe Working and 5S Practices.
