IL RUOLO Il candidato svolgera' la tesi presso il gruppo MDRF-RFOC-DVCC in Napoli e partecipera' alla realizzazione di un nuovo processo di Digital Verification basato sull'introduzione dell' Artificial Intelligence per la generazione di componenti di Verifica in System Verilog UVM ed in codice C destinati alla verifica di Digital IP. Avrà dunque la responsabilità di: * Individuare e poi studiare la Digital IP da usare come benchmark * Individuare l' AI piu' adatta a svolgere il compito di verifica della Digital IP * Guidare l'AI nel processo di addestramento per generare i componenti di verifica piu' adatti * Selezionare attraverso simulazioni in systemverilog e codice c i componenti di verifica generati dall' AI piu' adatti al compito richiesto * Condividere il processo di cui sopra con il team COMPETENZE ED ESPERIENZE RICHIESTE: * Basic of Electronics * Digital design and hardware description languages: VHDL and/or Verilog * Basic of C-code programming language * Standard Linux/Unix tool commands like make, sed, etc E' CONSIDERATO UN PLUS LA CONOSCENZA DI: * SystemVerilog, Advanced verification methodologies like UVM, Assertion based verification, C-based * software driven verification * Python language ST è orgogliosa di essere una delle 17 aziende certificate come Top Employer Globale 2025 e la prima e unica azienda di semiconduttori a raggiungere questa distinzione. YOUR ROLE * Lead development of test strategy, test plan, and characterization plan for NPI product development * Collaborate actively with DFT team for DFT implementation * Define engineering and production test hardware, including wafer sort probe cards and final test loadboards * Develop test scenario files for test pattern simulation and generation * Manage 1st silicon bring-up, wafer sort, and final test program development, validation, data analysis, and reporting * Conduct product IP characterization, analyze results, prepare reports, and review with designers * Develop reliability, failure analysis, and characterization test programs * Work closely with designers, DFT engineers, and application engineers in Europe and Asia * Drive yield improvement, test time reduction, customer return analysis, and test solution platform migration YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field * Minimum 5 years of experience in NPI test development * Proficient in test software development: C/C++, Perl, Python, Java * Good understanding of semiconductor front-end and back-end manufacturing processes * Experience with automated test equipment: T2000, 93000 EXAScale, Ultraflex+ * Knowledge of DFT, Scan, Memory BIST, NVM, mixed-signal testing, and microcontroller theory is a plus * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in multicultural/international teams * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Self-motivated, able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines * Quick learner eager to grow hardware and software development skills * Familiar with statistical process control, data management, semiconductor yield analysis * Experienced with STDF software tools (Yield Explorer, Galaxy, Optimal Test) and Microsoft Office Working at ST means innovating for a future that we want to make smarter, greener, in a responsible and sustainable way.     Job Description: Your impact Do you have an eye for detail and a drive to do the right thing? Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Design Authority (DA) for Test Solutions on a permanent basis at our modern and purpose-built Luton (Capability Green) site. A DA will need to be a talented and experienced Engineer, familiar with working on complex electronic (ideally Optical, RF, Digital and analogue based) Test Solutions. The DA will have had hands-on experience of designing complex Test Solutions over the full life cycle. Our technology starts with you. --- VOTRE ROLE: En tant que doctorant, vous travaillerez sur des algorithmes avancés pour la réduction des interférences dans le contexte d’un processeur pour radars MIMO FMCW pour l’automobile, embarque sur véhicule : • Tout d’abord une recherche de l’état de l’art sur les méthodes existantes sera effectuée • Vous chercherez à comprendre les avantages et les limitations de ces méthodes • Vous chercherez de nouvelles méthodes pour améliorer l’efficacité de la réduction d’interférences dans un environnement difficile et perturbé, d’abord d’un point de vue théorique • Vous implémenterez ces méthodes dans un modèle (Matlab) de la chaine RF et du traitement du signal, qui doit être amélioré, pour démontrer leur efficacité dans divers scénarios, puis viendra leur amélioration et affinage. • Ensuite vous implémenterez les méthodes les plus intéressantes en un code C sur un DSP réel dans une puce radar. • Puis, vous testerez les méthodes les plus prometteuses sur un capteur radar d’essai où la puce qui tourne les algorithmes fonctionne sur le terrain, avec de vrais capteurs qui créent des interférences, dans divers scenarios. • Si le temps le permet, le travail de traitement du signal pourra être étendu à d’autres sujets comme la recherche et à l’implémentation sur DSP d’algorithmes avancés de super-résolution de DoA (Recherche de direction d’arrivée), après suppression des interférences. VOS COMPÉTENCES & EXPÉRIENCES • Master ou diplôme d’ingénieur en électronique, logiciel ou traitement du signal • Bonne connaissance et intérêt pour les mathématiques appliquées • Intérêt et bonne connaissance du traitement numérique du signal en temps réel, si possible pour le radar ou pour les communications • Bon niveau d’anglais scientifique (écrit et oral) • Autonomie, avec un soutien d’équipe (France, Italie) • Connaissance des principaux logiciels mathématiques (Matlab ou Python/SciPy) • Quelques connaissances en programmation de code DSP, ou volonté d’apprendre YOUR ROLE As a PhD student, you will work on advanced algorithms for interference mitigation in the context of Edge processor for automotive MIMO FMCW radars * First make a state-of-the-art search on existing methods * Understand the pros and limitations of those methods * Search for new methods to improve effectiveness of mitigation in a harsh environment, first from a theoretical point of view * Implement those methods in a (Matlab) model of the RF and signal processing flow, to be improved, to show their effectiveness in various scenarios and improve and fine-tune them * Then implement the interesting methods on real DSP Hardware * Then try the most promising methods in a test sensor where the chip that runs the algorithms is running, in the field, with real interfering sensor(s) * If time allows, the signal processing work may be extended to Advanced super-resolution DoA (direction of arrival) algorithm search and DSP implementation after interferences have been removed.
