Job Description: Are you an experienced Mission Data Programmer looking to advance your career within Electronic Warfare? Leonardo has an exciting opportunity for a Senior/Principal Systems Engineer to join our Integrated Mission Solutions team at our modern Lincoln site. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering Defensive Aid Mission Data —critical to enhancing aircraft survivability within the defence sector. You’ll lead full lifecycle systems engineering activities, from requirements elicitation and detailed design through to test, verification, and acceptance. Working within an Agile development framework , you’ll collaborate closely with end-users and stakeholders to ensure mission data solutions meet complex operational needs. Key responsibilities: Develop and apply systems engineering best practices across the full lifecycle. Interpret radar emitter data and collaborate with EW specialists to refine requirements. Support MDS production, verification, and validation to demonstrate compliance. Produce technical documentation and present at engineering gate reviews. Act as a focal point for MDS process adherence and team development. Travel occasionally in the UK and overseas to engage with customers and partners. What You’ll Bring Extensive experience in Operational MDS design and development . Strong understanding of Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) and RF signal propagation. Proven knowledge of passive/active EW sensor systems and emitter identification methods. Experience conducting engineering gate reviews and producing traceable test evidence . Familiarity with JEWOSC/ MSC tool sets, data, and processes . Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Desirable Experience with the Praetorian Defensive Aids Sub System . Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements tools. Experience supporting military end-users or developing desktop software toolsets . YOUR ROLE As part of the Imaging division, a world-leading developer of optical solutions, the successful candidate manages a team of analogue designers in Edinburgh, Scotland, that specializes in Time-of-Flight products. These devices leverage single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technology to deliver high-precision, time-resolved imaging for mobile and non-mobile applications requiring 3D and depth sensing. The analogue team plays a critical role from architecture through design, implementation, verification, all the way to support for volume production. The team activities cover both intellectual property (IP) and the full mixed-signal system of a Time-of-Flight device. In addition to managing the analogue team, the role interfaces with other managers and teams in the wider silicon development organization in Edinburgh. A propos de vos missions L'équipe "Grenoble Digital Design methodology" est en charge des procédés et des méthodes, basés sur des outils de fournisseurs de CAO (conception assistée par ordinateur) et des codes internes, utilisés par nos équipes de design et de vérification digitale au sein de la division Imaging. Les produits visés sont composés de parties digitales et d'éléments analogiques exigeant un temps de développement court avec le besoin de s'adapter rapidement à la demande du client ou à de nouvelles fonctionnalités. Les principaux domaines sont le conditionnement de propriétés intellectuelles (IPs), leur assemblage dans un circuit (SoC), la génération de la banque de registres, ainsi que la génération d'éléments des environnements de vérification. Au sein de cette petite équipe, vous serez particulièrement amenés à refonder la mise en place de structure d'organisation et de génération des différents fichiers nécessaires au développement et à l'intégration d'une propriété intellectuelle digitale (IP), ainsi que les méthodes d'assemblage de nos circuits. Ces activités pourront donner lieu à la participation à des projets menés par l'équipe design, afin de pleinement intégrer les besoins et de faciliter la mise en place de l'évolution des méthodes développées. A propos de vous Préférablement titulaire d’un diplôme d’Ingénieur ou d’un Master, vous justifiez d’une expérience minimale de 10 ans dans le domaine. Vous possédez des bases solides en langages de description digitale (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog), ainsi qu’en langages utilisés pour la génération de codes exécutables (TCL, Perl, Python). Une connaissance des méthodes de codage et d’architecture logicielle serait un réel avantage pour l’adaptabilité et la maintenance des codes développés. Vous avez démontré une bonne capacité d’analyse des problèmes complexes en vue de leur résolution. En tant qu’acteur de cette équipe, il est attendu de votre part une attitude critique constructive et un sens prononcé de l’initiative. Vous aimez interagir avec d’autres équipes, favoriser les échanges et servir les intérêts des membres des projets. Vous avez une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais à l’écrit et à l’oral. L’utilisation des outils de design digital des sociétés Cadence ou Synopsys est un prérequis pour l’environnement du poste ; celle des produits de la société Magillem serait appréciée.
