YOUR ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Field Application Engineer (FAE) with 2-4 years strong expertise in data center power conversion systems. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and customer support for power electronics solutions used in data center infrastructure, including VR for CPU/GPU and high-efficiency DC-DC converters, power supplies, and power management ICs. A deep understanding of power semiconductor devices, advanced topologies, and system-level design for high-density, high-reliability data center applications is essential. Key Responsibilities * Validation of VRs ((Multi-phase DC-DC converters) for CPU/GPU on latest platforms from Intel, AMD and other vendors. * Development, testing, and validation of DC-DC converters, power supplies, and power management systems tailored for data center environments. * Assist customers in the development, testing and validation of power systems for data center applications. * Troubleshoot complex application issues related to power conversion systems, including thermal management and reliability challenges. * Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote ST’s power semiconductor products and system solutions targeted at data center applications. * Capture market trends, customer feedback, and emerging technology requirements to guide product development and roadmap planning. * Develop and deliver technical training, application notes, demo boards, and presentations focused on data center power electronics. * Work closely with R&D and product engineering teams to improve product robustness, performance, and manufacturability. * Support PCB layout reviews and provide design recommendations for multilayer boards used in high-current, high-density, high switching frequency power electronics. * Participate in customer design reviews, prototype bring-up, and qualification activities. * Manage relationships with key customers and power electronics suppliers to ensure successful project execution. * Frequent travel (30 to 40%) to customer sites and industry events as needed to provide on-site support and technical training. Skills * EE degree required. Masters preferred. * Experience with validation of VRs on Intel and AMD platforms. Experience with INTEL VRTTool Gen5 and AMD SDLE3. * Experience with data center power standards and architectures (e.g. 800V power distribution, 48 V power distribution, Open Compute Project specifications). * Design of high frequency DC/DC converters. * PCB design with electronic CADs such as Altium. * Familiarity with reliability testing and qualification processes for power electronics. * Experience working in semiconductor or power electronics industries supporting OEMs or system integrators. * Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers). * Ability to analyze test data and communicate technical results effectively. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. At STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base annual salary range for this role is between $ 91,500 to $ 114,400 USD. A deep understanding of power semiconductor devices, advanced topologies, and system-level design for high-density, high-reliability data center applications is essential. Skills * Bachelor’s Level Degree (Master's Level Degree preferred) plus a minimum of 6 years’ experience. * Proven experience with data center power standards and architectures (e.g.,800V power distribution, 48 V power distribution, Open Compute Project specifications). * Design of high frequency AC/DC and DC/DC converters with Wide Bandgap power semiconductors * PCB design with electronic CADs such as Altium. * Design and experience on Matrix transformer design technologies * Knowledge of digital power control and firmware development. * Familiarity with reliability testing and qualification processes for power electronics. * Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers programming in C/C++ * Experience working in semiconductor or power electronics industries supporting OEMs or system integrators. * Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers). * Ability to analyze test data and communicate technical results effectively. * Experience with high-current, high-efficiency power supply design and thermal management techniques. * Familiarity with EMI/EMC design considerations and compliance testing. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. YOUR ROLE The role is aimed at accelerating the definition and the implementation of IC in MEMS solutions. The requested figure is represented by a brilliant analog FE design engineer able to propose ideas and design solutions in the context of analog front end for inertial MEMS. The activities will be focused on system-level implementation, strongly interacting with other departments. Candidate’s key role is based on the cooperation with the system architect, developing blocks and sub-systems to meet the overall target perfomance, following transistor-level implementation and all simulation/ verification activities. The candidate will work also closely to the layout engineer to drive the layout activity of the designed IPs and he/she will verify the layout impact with post-layout simulations. He/She will participate to the evaluation and characterization of the followed products to verify the functionality and the performances of the designed blocks. Technical skills and communicative attitude are key ingredients to work in a team from the product specification to the product industrialization. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Master’s degree in electronic engineering. * The candidate has at least 5 years experience in analog electronics design and familiarity with all the industrialization processes and debug/char activities. * Good knowledge of low power and low noise design techniques. * Good knowledge of Spice-based tools and Mixed signal simulation environment. * Good knowledge of analog blocks modeling (veriloga/system verilog real number). * System-level oriented block implementation approach is considered a key skill. * Proactivity to facilitate and drive the cross-functional team internal discussions. * MEMS knowledge is a strong plus.
