A propos de vos missions * La simulation TCAD permet de modéliser les composants microelectroniques pour prédire et optimiser leurs performances. Ce domaine de la simulation produit des structures 2D ou 3D maillées dans l’espace. * L’intégration des techniques d’intelligence artificielle (IA) appliquées aux structures maillées issues de ces simulations TCAD ouvre de nouvelles perspectives pour accélérer l’analyse, la prédiction et l'optimisation. La mise en œuvre de méthodes de conception inverse (inverse design) sur les structures maillées utilisées en TCAD permettrait d’identifier rapidement les paramètres d’entrée liés à la fabrication et au design (layout), afin d’atteindre les performances électriques de sortie souhaitées. * Des précédents travaux ont porté sur l'utilisation de données de simulation 1D et de méthodes d’optimisation. Ce sujet de thèse CIFRE se concentre sur les structures 2D/3D maillées, ce qui permettrait d’optimiser les formes et morphologie des matériaux ainsi que les profils de dopants dans les composants. * L'objectif de cette thèse est de développer des méthodes permettant l'utilisation d'intelligence artificielle avec les données mailées 2D/3D TCAD, utilisant par exemple les réseaux de neurones en graphes (GNN) qui sont adaptées à ce type de données, ou encore les méthodes d’IA génératives. A propos de vous * Étudiant avec un diplôme d'ingénieur ou un Master 2 intéressé par la recherche dans le monde de l'industrie. * Connaissances en algorithmes d'intelligence artificielle et réseaux neuronaux. * Connaissances en programmation Python. Contribute to the planning and progress reports of both development and production antenna test activities. What you’ll bring Degree in a STEM subject (Physics, Mathematics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or another science-based subject). Experience / Education in at least one of the following areas of Electromagnetics: Antenna design/modelling/measurement, Computational Electromagnetic Modelling (CEM), Radio frequency (RF) design, Microwave engineering, Low Observables (LO) or Stealth Technology. Excellent numerical problem-solving skills and an aptitude for lateral thinking. Working knowledge of MATLAB to perform analysis of results. Knowledge of other scripting/programming languages may be considered if it suggests an easy adaptation to MATLAB. Leonardo offers an additional allowances for some roles – for more information please contact ukcareers@leonardo.com We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Engineer with microwave engineering knowledge, familiar with working on complex electronic (ideally RF-based) sensor systems. The role can be based in either Southampton or Bristol and will focus on the electronics design of the RF and control subsystems; to be implemented on laboratory and aircraft concept demonstrators. You will provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle including design implementation, integration and test, system trials and product delivery. You will be part of the Leonardo Airborne Communications product development group within the Integrated Sensing & Protection line of business; interacting with partner organisations / sub-contractors and potential customers. Your Impact: You will be responsible for delivery of work packages focused on analogue and RF electronics, covering the inter vehicle data link design, system test and integration. Modelling of proposed architectures to determine the optimal solution. Simulation of RF design. Documentation of design including configuration management within Teamcenter. Support laboratory hardware demonstrator development and test. What we are looking for Practical hands on experience of RF design of circuitry, ideally between DC and 30 GHz, but if you don’t have experience over this whole range then we’d still be interested to hear from you. Experience of working with PCB layout personnel in an advisory capacity. Hands on experience of using RF test and measurement equipment to develop and debug RF circuitry. Ability to use RF and system modelling and simulation tools. Ability to produce concise technical reports detailing design solutions and implementation. Ability to understand and follow the business practices, such as design reviews, which come with working in a high technology defence environment. Degree in relevant engineering or related scientific discipline (Electronics Engineering preferred). As part of an electromechanical project, be willing to work closely with the mechanical team members to create a solution which addresses all design requirements. It would be nice if you had: Knowledge / experience of digital or mixed signal design. Experience in system level and sub-system integration and debug. Experience of working in the defence electronics sector. Chartered Engineer status, or a member of a professional engineering institution.
