Please note that this job requires mandatory relocation to Luxembourg. About us Satispay began by rethinking the simple act of a payment to remove the friction from our daily routines. But we didn't stop there. Today, we are building a complete financial platform designed to empower people and concretely improve their lives. By giving our 6 million users a clear, open path to pay, save, and invest, we are evolving into the definitive destination for every financial need. What you'll be doing As our FinCrime AML/CTF Specialist, you’ll be the person who applies expert investigative methodology to resolve high-risk compliance matters, ensuring Satispay’s integrity in an evolving regulatory landscape. Here's what your day-to-day will look like: - Detection & Trend Analysis – Managing Transaction Monitoring (TM) workflows focused on AML typologies, proactively identifying emerging trends, and spearheading the creation of new alerting systems and detection rules to improve overall network security. - Advanced Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) – Leading deep-dive reviews of high-risk accounts, complex entity ownership structures, and jurisdictional risks. - Specialized Investigations – Conducting thorough Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW) investigations, verifying legitimacy through rigorous documentation and data analysis. - High-Stakes Disposition – Performing expert disposition on complex Name Screening alerts (e.g., sanction/PEP hits) that require detailed risk assessment and defensible rationales. - Regulatory Reporting – Consistently preparing, drafting, and finalizing high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for Fraud and AML-centric cases. - Technical Escalation Management – Acting as the primary resource for resolving AML-centric escalations from the wider Monitoring team. - Policy & Intelligence – Supporting the optimization of the AML/CTF policy framework by translating regulatory updates into operational processes and analyzing high-risk typologies to sharpen our controls. - Stakeholder Liaison – Serving as a key contact for internal Legal and Compliance teams and supporting Quality Assurance (QA) reviews for high-risk case dispositions. Who we're looking for We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you? - Experience – You bring 3+ years of experience in a first-line AML operations or specialized compliance role, with proven experience in handling complex entity structures and turning regulatory requirements into actionable procedures. - Regulatory-to-Operational Expertise – An expert understanding of AML Directives, FATF recommendations, and local Luxembourgish AML laws, paired with the ability to operationalize these mandates into detection systems and risk workflows. - Analytical Prowess – Superior critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex, disparate data from internal and external sources (OSINT, company registers, etc.) into actionable conclusions and improved alerting logic. - Reporting Excellence – Exceptional written communication skills for drafting detailed, defensible regulatory reports that clearly articulate the operational risk. - Technical Skills – Proficiency in utilizing external screening databases (e.g., ComplianceAssist) and a deep understanding of how to leverage TM systems and data tools to detect sophisticated typologies. - AML Typology & Flow Mastery – The ability to navigate the highest levels of complexity with full autonomy, identifying hidden risks and designing the flows needed to mitigate them. - Strategic Risk Communication – The ability to act as the definitive voice on AML risks, providing the technical and operational guidance needed to address emerging threats. - Core Values – Unwavering ethical judgment, extreme attention to detail, and the discretion required to handle highly sensitive customer information.
