We have a fantastic opportunity for an Antenna / RF Test Engineer to join our Bristol Site Antennas team. You will be joining a welcoming and inclusive team of engineers, as part of the Antenna Core Delivery Team (CDT) working on a range of projects supporting the development and delivery of military communications equipment for a broad spectrum of applications and environments. As a Test Engineer your role will be to help support the production testing and development of antenna-based solutions for Leonardo, ranging from development of jigs and fixtures to test script and plan generation in preparation for hands-on product testing and data analysis. What you will do: Working with project teams to agree test plans and strategies. Planning and scheduling testing activities to ensure project requirements are satisfied. Setting up test equipment (e.g. power supplies, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, network analysers) and following test plans to take measurements with this equipment. Support to general lab management tasks, including creating and maintaining the lab risk assessments and checking ESD equipment. Undertake testing within and supporting use of the on-site screened room and near field chambers. Supporting test equipment calibration and record keeping. Development of test jigs and fixtures for products under test. Data analysis of test results and report writing. Generation of test plans and test scripts. What you will bring: Required: Experience of working in screened rooms / near field chambers (preferably AESA testing experience). An understanding of general electronics and RF based test equipment and how to use them to take measurements. Test plan and report writing experience. Test script generation in C derivatives, Python and Visual Basic. Test data processing & analysis. An understanding of measurement error budgets and techniques to quantify and reduce error margins An understanding of electronics design, antenna basics and safe ways of working with ESD. A collaborator with proven communication skills across engineering functions (RF, Microwave, Electronics and Mechanical). Desirable: Experience of developing tools to automate measurements (e.g. LabView or other scripted methods). Experience of designing prototype electronic circuit boards and test cables. Who We Are APeC Datacenter Organization mission is to expand the ST billing thru promotions, customers' design support and validation of the different products involved in the several applications related to Datacenter, which include Discrete, Analog and microcontrollers products. We are looking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with expertise in data center power conversion systems. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and customer support for power electronics solutions used in data center infrastructure, including high-efficiency AC/DC, DC-DC converters, power supplies, and power management ICs. A deep understanding of power semiconductor devices, advanced topologies, and system-level design for high-density, high-reliability data center applications is essential. Key Responsibilities As a Field Application Senior Engineer, you will provide technical support and validation of the different products involved in the several applications related to AI Datacenter, with focus on Discrete and Analog. You will work closely with customer engineers to troubleshoot technical issues, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to customer success across the APeC region. Through your technical expertise and customer interaction, you will also support the growth of our business. * Development, testing, and validation of AC-DC, DC-DC converters, power supplies, and power management systems tailored for data center environments * Provide technical support to AI customers on Analog and Power products * Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote ST’s power semiconductor products and system solutions targeted at data center applications. * Troubleshoot complex application issues related to power conversion systems, including thermal management, EMI/EMC compliance, and reliability challenges. * Support PCB layout reviews and provide design recommendations for multilayer boards used in high-current, high-density, high switching frequency power electronics. * Participate in customer design reviews, prototype bring-up, and qualification activities. * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key engineers at key customer accounts to ensure successful project execution * Collaborate with FAE teams in Japan, Taiwan, and South Asia to support customers across the APeC region. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * 6+ years of experience with data center power standards and architectures (e.g.,800V power distribution, 48 V power distribution, ACDC, VRM). * Knowledge of Power (SiC, GaN, HV and LV Mosfet) and Analog products (Driver, DCDC, VRM) and for AI Datacenter to Design high frequency AC/DC and DC/DC converters * PCB design with electronic CADs such as Altium. * Full Understanding and deep experience on Matrix transformer design technologies and simulation Tools (Ansys) * Experience working in semiconductor or power electronics industries supporting OEMs or system integrators. * Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers). * Ability to analyze test data and communicate technical results effectively. * Experience with high-current, high-efficiency power supply design and thermal management techniques. * Familiarity with EMI/EMC design considerations and compliance testing. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
