Job Purpose Plan and develop the evolution of RTD and MES applications used across worldwide BEMT plants. Manage the governance of RTD and MES systems globally, focusing on planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement to enhance resource utilization and traceability. Assess Data Integrity, and MES & RTD Change Requests (CR) for tactical and strategic BEM manufacturing tools supporting traceability, process robustness, RMS, EMCS, CMMS and excellence in manufacturing execution. Accountable for the Manufacturing Execution System and its integrations on EWS, Assembly, Test & Finishing steps, and production lines, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and quality community requirements. Serve as Project Manager for MES and Satellite projects, and Operation Maturity Matrix projects to optimize system use, ensure traceability, and enhance data analysis for BEMT engineering and quality teams. Manage and support driving capital expenditure (CAPEX) definition and execution for MES & RTD related systems in collaboration with DTIT. Support ad-hoc activities related to SOX compliance. Support requests modifying and creating PRIS approver/notifier for BEM&T documents (BSA/TFI). Key Responsibilities * Plan and develop MES / STULT and RTD applications evolution across global BEMT plants. \- Analyze current system usage and identify gaps or improvement areas. \- Research best practices and benchmark with other plants. \- Document requirements clearly and prioritize based on impact. \- Collaborate with DTIT and vendors (if needed) for solutions. \- Track progress and adjust plans as needed. * Required Skills / Manage global governance of MES / STULT & RTD systems. \- Set up regular review meetings with key stakeholders & assigned BA,DTIT & IE. \- Monitor RTD adherence rate% of all BEM&T sites \- Maintain and troubleshoot RTD central PBI report. \- Collect feedback from users and identify pain points. \- Coordinate with DTIT for system updates. \- Promote continuous improvement culture through open communication. * Manage and assess MES / STULT & RTD Change Requests. \- Hold CAB meeting to review all CRs together with key stakeholders \- Track all MES & RTD (functional) change requests. \- Analyze impact on processes, data integrity, and traceability. \- Consult with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders. \- Prioritize CRs based on urgency and business value. \- Coordinate with IT for development and testing. \- Validate changes through User Acceptance Testing (UAT). \- Communicate status and outcomes to requesters. \- Document governance and standard process. * Project Manager for MES and satellite project, and Operation maturity matrix project. \- Define project scope, objectives, and timelines. \- Identify and engage project team members. \- Develop project plans and track milestones. \- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and resolve issues. \- Monitor risks and implement mitigation actions. \- Report progress to management and stakeholders. \- Ensure project deliverables meet quality and traceability requirements. * Ensure MES / STULT integration with production steps. \- Map current production workflows and data flows. \- Collaborate with production and quality teams to understand requirements. \- Work with IT to design and test system interfaces. \- Validate data accuracy and traceability in live environments. * Collaborate with DIT to define and execute CAPEX plans related to MES & RTD systems. \- Coordinate with finance and DIT for budget management. \- Monitor CAPEX spending and project delivery, CAPEX status and impact * Support SOX compliance and document workflows. \- Understand SOX compliance requirements related to MES. \- Support by reviewing system documentation as per needed. \- Support modifications in PRIS for document (BSA/TFI) approver/notifier, as per needed. Required Skills & Experience • Educational Background: Bachelor’s in Engineering or a related field. • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, specifically within Semiconductor back-end manufacturing environments. • Industrial Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, with proven application in manufacturing settings. • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, capacity planning tools, and change management processes. • Lean Methodology: Experience in deploying and sustaining Lean manufacturing principles and culture. Your Impact We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer – Digital to join our team on a hybrid-working basis. In this role you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations team, shaping the Future Manufacturing - Assy, Automation & Tooling and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Strategy, ensuring efficient production technology (Tools & Systems) introduction, adherence to quality standards, and timely project completion. The role on offer is supporting the Future Combat Air Line of Business, this role will help plan future manufacturing systems engineering activities to enable the delivery of products to schedule, quality and cost. The successful candidate will be supporting the business through developing & executing the Operations Future Manufacturing aligning with Leonardo lines of business throughout the UK in addition to National & International partners. What you will do as a Principal Manufacturing Engineering – Digital: Interface with IT, Cyber and Future Factory Digital Lifecycle team to support ongoing integration activities. Engage with LEDUK, national and international partners on smart tooling, automation and integration into MES / Common Data Environment (CDE). Support the development of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Repair elements of the digital thread. Engagement with Future Factory in tool selection and development of digital twins (plant / process) and simulations. Supporting MES solution architects in aligning solution options for MES. Your Impact Join Leonardo UK as an SAP Transformation Lead and play a pivotal role in reshaping the digital backbone of a leading defence organisation. This is a rare opportunity to lead a complex, enterprise-wide SAP transformation—driving innovation across engineering, manufacturing, and operations while ensuring the highest standards of security, performance, and compliance in a mission-critical environment. You will take ownership of a major SAP upgrade programme, guiding the organisation from a legacy landscape to a future-ready platform aligned with long-term strategic goals. YOUR ROLE The role ensures stable, efficient, and high‑quality production by executing process experiments, monitoring performance, solving technical issues, and collaborating closely with Process Engineers, Equipment Engineers, and Production. * Process Monitoring & Control * Support to Process Engineering * Yield, Quality & Defect Reduction * Operations & Equipment Support * Continuous Improvement & EHS Compliance * Training, Follow Procedure, Personal Development YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * A higher diploma with relevant semiconductor experience * 3-5 years' experience of Semiconductor background, Exposure to cleanroom environment and wafer processing is an advantage. * Basic understanding of semiconductor process steps and modules * Ability to work with MES, process control, and reporting systems. * Willingness to work in cleanroom environment and Night shift pattern, and on-call for Over-time line support. * Proactive, curious, and willing to learn complex processes step by step.
