As Foundry Applications Engineer with a focus on Design Enablement, you will be a key enabler of the next generation of RF & AI infrastructure. You will support customers designing high-performance RF components and high-speed optical interconnects that power massive GPU clusters and hyperscale data centers. This role is critical for the industry's expanded focus on Pluggable Optics as well as transition to advanced Near-Packaged Optics (NPO), which are essential for connectivity in AI Data Centers. In this role, you will act as the main technical bridge between ST’s foundry customers designing RF components for 1.6T, 3.2T and higher data rate optical engines using ST’s SiGe BiCMOS, Advanced Packaging and other related process technologies. The candidate will collaborate with customers’ design and operations teams along with ST’s internal marketing, sales, business unit, foundry and central R&D teams. This is an excellent opportunity for design engineers with background and experience in design of RF Front End ICs, TIA(s), drivers, and signal conditioning ICs to make an impact in a customer-facing and highly visible facing role. Job Responsibilities Provide training and on-boarding to ramp-up up foundry customers’ design teams on ST process platforms * Provide timely and effective support to technical issues or customer questions regarding ST PDK and IP/library deliveries for simulation, layout, extraction, reliability. * Enhance PDK documentation, develop application notes and best practices to be shared with customer(s) and internal teams. * Lead regular (Weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly) technical calls with customer and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of assigned design programs from inception to product tape-out, delivery of engineering samples and production ramp-up. * Participate in definition of photonic/electronic reference designs, proof-of-concept board/system builds. * Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in semiconductor/photonics technology to incorporate best practices into PDK/IP/libraries development. Required Qualifications We are looking for candidates who understand the intersection of light and silicon with product development or applications expertise in at least one of the following: * High-Speed Optics: Expertise in 100G/200G+ per-lane electrical interfaces, TIAs, and drivers. * SiGe BiCMOS processes: Understanding of SiGe HBT physics for ultra-high-speed signaling including exposure to industry leading processes * High-Speed RF: Expertise in cellular or satellite RF front end IC(s), beam former ICs, RADAR or other RF components. Additional Qualifications * BSEE and 10+ years in design, process development or applications engineering. * Working knowledge of data center architectures, interconnect technologies, optical transceivers. At STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base annual salary range for this role is between $151,200 to $ 189,000 USD. YOUR ROLE This position is responsible for qualifying new products with the objective of supporting the different ST business requirements for quality, reliability and schedule standpoint. * Checks and understands the technical gap of the new product and the existing Plan-of-Record (POR) and baseline capability * Develops the project milestones and deliverables schedule. * Defines the project team and communication infrastructure (coordination, operation and review forums) * Prepares all resources required to start the new product qualification * Organize support on product workability, qualification, line stressing and review. * Supports the Volume Ramp up team for any technical issues encountered during the volume ramp up. * Identifies areas for cost reduction and devise methods to achieve better-cost efficient projects * Manufacturing system setup * Yield and cycle time review * PRB review: TGA, EVP, EVR, KT and KTV * Raw material monitoring and purchase. * Lead team review for project progress and quality issues. * Ensure project is executed and completed on agreed timeframe. YOUR ROLE This position carries responsibility for introducing optimum End of Line process in Assembly manufacturing, in support of new product development; ensuring quality standards of the new product being developed, meeting target milestones or maturity, and operating within the defined budget , resources and ST standards. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Graduate of Engineering degree in the field of Electronics, Mechanical, etc., or at least with seven (7) years professional experience in DTFS preferably with FICO System expertise. * With working experience on End of Line process such as DTFS with basic knowledge at Mold and Laser Marking. Familiar with Singulation Blade and Laser Marking technology; * Knowledgeable in Statistical Tools, DOE and data analysis * Must have excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities and documentation. * Good interpersonal skills and can communicate across all levels of the organization. * Team Player with ability to lead a group.
