The work location will be in the new mass production fab in Catania for the manufacturing of devices on SiC substrates. This facility is a first of a kind in Europe for the production in volume of 8” SiC devices, integrating all steps in the production flow. The main tasks as a Process Engineer will be to optimize and improve the efficiency of manufacturing equipment and industrial processes. In the early stages of the new Fab, special focus will be on the start-up and qualification of equipment and processes to support the capacity ramp-up. Main responsabilities: * Install and qualify new equipment and processes, with a strong interaction with suppliers. * Monitor equipment performance in the production environment and perform troubleshooting on equipment failures. * Create new FDC strategies to improve process and equipment robustness. * Optimize process and equipment performance to improve overall efficiency, quality, cost and cycle time. * Ensure the quality and stability of processes and the availability of production equipment by providing daily operational support and resolving technical issues. * Train, mentor, and develop the skills of process technicians, ensuring adherence to established methods and processes. * Support the introduction of new technologies and processes. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Master in scientific subjects, e.g. in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry * Experience in silicon/SiC processing and flow knowledge is a plus. * Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus. * Fluent English is a must. * Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. * Commitment, proactivity and curiosity. The expected salary range for this position is €38,000 – €45,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role. In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies.
