In the role of Principal Technical Support Engineer, you will be part a multi discipline engineering team providing the back office technical activities required to support Electronic Warfare Systems and Defensive Aid products installed in Fixed and Rotary Wing Platforms of UK and Global customers, in line with contractual requirements. As a Stress Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and production of leading-edge defence products within land, naval, seeker and space domains supporting both new innovations and proven legacy products. What you’ll do as a Principal Stress Engineer: Analyse and assess mechanical designs for strength, durability, performance and safety against regulatory and customer requirements using finite element techniques and classical hand calculations. Support the selection of manufacturing technologies and aerospace materials based on a sound understanding of material physical and mechanical properties and the mechanical fit, form and function of the product. Take ownership of all stress related activities for particular projects through all stages of the product lifecycle for concept to production and beyond. What we need from you: Essential: Degree qualification in a relevant engineering or science-based course – Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Aeronautical Engineering. Proven experience in the use of Finite Element Analysis software tools (preferably Siemens NX/Nastran) and techniques. Working evidence on the application of a wide range of classical hand calculation techniques for static and dynamic loading conditions, fatigue and fracture assessment (Land, Naval or Airborne equipment). Experience of environmental test methods for design verification and working knowledge of design certification for land based and airborne equipment. Ability to communicate with and influence the direction of both internal and external customers. A proven problem solver with a practical, pragmatic approach. La persona si occuperà delle seguenti attività: • nella fase di Business Winning: - Partecipazione ai bid team per l’elaborazione delle principali offerte commerciali - analisi delle T&C e della negoziazione delle stesse con il cliente nonché della predisposizione di tutta la documentazione propedeutica alla firma del contratto (es. richiesta di licenze, richiesta garanzie bancarie, richieste di documentazione societaria etc..). • nella fase di Contract Execution: - Operare nel team di programma al fine di assicurare il raggiungimento degli obiettivi di progetto, non solo dal punto di vista economico-finanziario, ma anche garantendo il rispetto degli accordi contrattuali con il Cliente (esterno/interno). - Gestione delle compliance contrattuali in accordo alle procedure aziendali e delle leggi nazionali con particolare riguardo agli aspetti: Legali, Sicurezza, Trade compliance, Health & Safety. - Certificazione dell’acquisizione di un nuovo contratto/ordine, per mezzo dell’emissione dell’odv (utilizzo SAP), e nella emissione ed invio al cliente delle fatture di ciclo attivo (utilizzo SAP). - Predisposizione di documenti di sintesi sullo status economico del programma in termini di fatturato/incassi Titolo di studio: Laurea in Giurisprudenza o Economia (magistrale) o equipollente. Job Description: Your impact As Senior Project Controller you will develop and maintain integrated plans covering scope, schedule, cost, resources, and risk, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones, budget constraints, and defence governance standards. Working within an established, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll be supporting programme governance, performance measurement, audit readiness and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) within secure environments.
