Roles and Responsibilities * Own and execute the design process for complex websites or products, from discovery and information architecture to high‑fidelity prototyping and production‑ready design deliverables. * Design scalable solutions and components that align with and integrate into the Design System and the broader Qualcomm design ecosystem. * Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research activities, including usability testing, and synthesize findings into clear insights that inform design decisions. * Collaborate in exploring and applying AI interactions that address real user needs in technical contexts. * Collaborate closely with the Lead UX Designer to strengthen design outcomes through thoughtful feedback, knowledge sharing, and regular design critiques. Process / Equipment Interaction * Work closely with process engineering to ensure equipment performance supports CD, profile, uniformity, selectivity, and defectivity requirements. * Analyze tool logs, SPC charts, metrology data, and wafer maps to correlate equipment conditions with yield and parametric performance. * Support process qualifications, chamber swaps, hardware changes, and recipe releases. * Ensure correct implementation and maintenance of chamber matching between AMAT and TEL tools. 4\. Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction * Identify and implement improvement projects to increase uptime, extend parts lifetime, and reduce operating cost. * Optimize consumables usage and spare parts strategy (buffer stock, repair vs. replace, refurbishment plans). * Participate in or lead CIP / Lean / Six Sigma projects for productivity and quality enhancement. * Support capacity upgrades (chamber additions, throughput improvement, software enhancements). 5\. Documentation, Procedure & Training * Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for AMAT SuperE, AMAT DPS. * Document all events, alarms, interventions, and changes in the equipment history system (EHS/CMMS). * Provide technical training and coaching to equipment technicians, junior engineers, and shift personnel. * Ensure compliance with change management process for hardware, software, and recipe modifications. 6\. Safety & Compliance * Ensure all activities follow EHS regulations, company safety rules, and cleanroom protocols. * Conduct and support risk assessments, LOTO procedures, and safety audits for gas, chemical, RF, and high‑voltage systems. * Support compliance with ISO/Automotive/Quality Management Systems as applicable. Job Requirements 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent 2. Min 5 years of relevant work experience in Semiconductor Etch area, familiar with Etch Equipment (LAM XLE and LAM Rainbow) 3. YOUR ROLE The Hook‑up Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite hook‑up and commissioning activities to safely connect and integrate new facilities, systems, and equipment with existing installations. The role ensures work is executed in compliance with project specifications, HSE standards, schedule, and budget. * Project Planning & Coordination * Develop detailed hook‑up execution plans, work packs, and task lists based on project scope and design documents. * Coordinate interfaces between engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, and onsite operations. * Participate in constructability reviews and risk assessments for hook‑up activities. * Coordinating man‑power for site execution. * 2\. Engineering & Technical Support * Review and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, layouts, cable schedules, and installation procedures. * Provide technical clarifications to the site team and subcontractors. * Ensure design and field changes are captured, evaluated, and approved through the Management of Change (MOC) process. * 3\. Site Execution & Supervision * Mobilize and support onsite crews during hook‑up/de hookup and pre‑commissioning activities. * Monitor daily progress, productivity, and work quality; propose recovery measures when required. * Ensure correct installation, alignment, and connection of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping systems as per specifications. * Liaise with offshore client representatives, marine logistics, and construction supervisors. * 4\. Continuous Improvement & Industrial Efficiency * Analyze data and KPIs; identify bottlenecks and chronic losses. * Lead or participate in Lean/Six sigma/SMED activities for cycle time, cost, energy, and throughput improvements. * Drive standardization of settings, PM procedures, troubleshooting guides, and documentation. 6\. Safety, Environment & Compliance * Ensure strict adherence to EHS rules (chemicals, slurry, gases, high voltage, vacuum, cleanroom, LOTO). * Participate in risk assessments, FMEA, and implementation of safety interlocks and procedures. * Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements (e.g. waste handling, emissions). 7\. Documentation, Training & Knowledge Management * Create and maintain equipment documentation: procedures, checklists, work instructions, recovery plans. * Train and coach maintenance technicians on equipment usage and basic troubleshooting. * Contribute to knowledge base and share best practices across shifts and sites. Job Requirements: * A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. * Min 5 years of relevant work experience in CMP area, familiar with CMP Equipment (AMAT MirraMesa, Ebara F-REX200, Ontrak, etc.). * Strong troubleshooting skills and deep technical knowledge. * Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D methodologies. * Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration abilities and written skills. * Positive learning attitude with strong sense of responsibility. * Strong ownership, a commitment and flexibility to support operational priorities * Able to adapt in a fast paced environment and work under pressure.
