WHO WE LOOK FOR 🦄 We are looking for a  Senior Manager, People Operations , who will join our People Operations team.  The People Operations team creates the systems and processes to maintain a positive employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle at Flipp + Shopfully. This functional and strategic team supports the day-to-day needs of global employees while building proactively towards future initiatives and programs to influence the employee lifecycle.  The Senior Manager, People Operations will lead the strategy and execution of Flipp + Shopfully’s global People Services function, building a consistent, high-quality employee experience across regions. Build and develop a globally aligned People Operations team, enabling scalable support across regions while maintaining local expertise where needed. Partner cross-functionally with People, Payroll, Finance, Legal, IT, and People Tech teams to improve end-to-end employee processes and service delivery. Drive operational excellence through clear service standards, ownership models, and scalable workflows. HR Technology, AI & Automation Partner with People Tech team to shape and execute the People Services technology roadmap, including ticketing, case management, automation, and self-service tools. Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance the employee experience. Establish thoughtful standards for AI usage, balancing innovation, quality, privacy, and compliance. Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement Own People Services metrics and SLAs, using data and employee insights to drive continuous improvement. Lead process reviews and operational improvement initiatives to simplify workflows and remove friction across the employee lifecycle. Build scalable documentation and knowledge management practices, including SOPs, FAQs, policies, and self-service resources. Compliance & Risk Management Oversee global HR compliance operations, including employment records, reporting requirements, and multi-jurisdictional process adherence. Partner with Legal and external vendors to ensure policies and practices remain compliant and scalable as we grow globally. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead, coach, and develop a distributed People Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Support organizational growth initiatives, including vendor management, process integration, and M&A-related People Operations work where needed.   WHAT YOU WILL NEED 🪄 5+ years of progressive People Operations / HR Shared Services experience, including 3+ years leading and developing teams of HR professionals or specialists. Demonstrated experience leading People Operations across multiple regions or jurisdictions Hands-on experience leading HR technology transformation, including at least one of: implementing Jira Service Management / ServiceNow / equivalent HR case management, deploying AI/chatbot solutions for employee inquiries, or large-scale automation of HR processes. Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems, payroll administration, and the broader HR tech ecosystem. Track record of designing and operationalizing SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics for an HR or shared services function. As our People Operations Specialist for Germany & Eastern Europe, you will play a critical role in stabilizing and elevating People Operations across our Eastern Europe and DACH cluster during an upcoming maternity leave period. In this role, you will be working hand-in-hand with our Senior People Operations Specialist, you will own and execute the day-to-day operational lifecycle of our employees in Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands - from contracts and HRIS data maintenance, through payroll partnering with our third-party providers, to employee inquiries, leaves, terminations and audits. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives in multi-country complexity, partners credibly with People Business Partners and external providers, and brings discipline and care to every contract, payslip and HRIS record they touch. Support employees and managers with HR-related inquiries, policies, documentation, and operational processes. Payroll & Vendor Coordination Partner with external payroll providers to support accurate and timely payroll processing across assigned countries. For Germany and Austria: critically review test payslips, apply the four-eyes principle with our Senior People Operations Specialist, and ensure full accuracy before sign-off, including variable compensation, statutory deductions and benefits-in-kind. Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, and leave-related updates. Support payroll-related employee inquiries and collaborate closely with Finance and external vendors. Compliance & Reporting Support compliance with local labor laws, policies, and employment documentation requirements, particularly within Germany. Assist with audits, statutory reporting, and required employee documentation. Help maintain compliant and scalable People Operations processes across the region. HRIS Data & Administration Maintain accurate employee data and documentation within the HRIS system, ensuring records remain current and audit-ready. Support HRIS transactions and employee lifecycle updates, including hires, job changes, leave management, and terminations. Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies related to employee records, time-off balances, and payroll inputs. Generate and support reporting requests for People, Finance, and leadership stakeholders as needed. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve People Operations processes, workflows, and documentation across the region. Contribute to the development of scalable and efficient operational practices that enhance the employee experience. Support process standardization and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the EU People Operations team.   WHAT YOU WILL NEED 🪄 2+ years of experience in People / HR Operations, ideally with multi-country EU exposure and a strong focus on Germany. Solid hands-on experience with German labor law, contract drafting and German payroll preparation/verification; familiarity with Austrian payroll and labor law strongly preferred. Working knowledge of at least two of: Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Czech or Dutch HR/payroll requirements (typically via external providers). Experience managing external payroll, tax and legal providers (e.g., DATEV, Rödl, Vetax, Crowe, Libraconsult, DEEL) and/or operating an EOR relationship. Proficiency with HRIS platforms; direct experience with HiBob (Bob) is strongly preferred.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage many concurrent priorities across countries and time zones without losing accuracy.
